Conversion Factor A number used to multiply or divide a quantity when converting from one system of units to another Dilation Is a transformation that produces an image that is the same shape as the original, but is a different size. A dilation stretches or shrinks the original figure. Dimensions The length, width, or height of a figure.

21 Square Pyramid A three-dimensional geometric figure with a square base and four triangular sides that connect at one point Square Units A measure of area: 1 unit tall and 1 unit wide. Supplementary Angles Two angles whose measures have a sum of 180. Vertical Angles A pair of opposite congruent angles formed by intersecting lines.

Gross Pay An employee's pay before any deductions are taken.

29 Interest The amount of money charged for borrowing or using money, or the amount of money earned by saving money Net Pay The amount that remains after all deductions are taken from the gross pay. Principal The initial amount of money borrowed or saved. Sales Tax A percent of the cost of an item, which is charged by governments to raise money.

30 Simple Interest A fixed percent of the principal. It is found using the formula I = Prt, where P represents the principal, r the rate of interest, and t the time. Taxable Income The total amount of income minus qualifying deductions.
