3 Changes in this Release Custm Lg Lcatin Users can nw define a custm lg lcatin via Cmmand line when using the McAfee epo deplyment page r entering the custm lg path when using the EUA Package Creatr. If n lg lcatin is prvided the default will be used. EUA Envirnment Lgin message After the EUA extensin is installed, it autmatically scans the envirnment. After this is dne, n the next lgin the user will be presented with an infrmatin bx infrming them what percentage f their VSE clients are ready t be migrated t ENS using EUA. Perfrmance imprvements Many perfrmance imprvements have been made which reduces the amunt f time required fr migratin t cmplete. McAfee Sysprep is nw executed by Endpint Autmatin McAfee Sysprep is executed at the beginning f the migratin flw t reslve ptential issues with McAfee certificates & VTP validatin failures. 5 Installatin infrmatin Deplyment The Endpint Upgrade Assistant package is checked in t all McAfee epo branches (i.e., evaluatin, previus, and current) during the installatin f the Endpint Upgrade Assistant McAfee epo extensin. Fr the Endpint Upgrade Assistant package t execute successfully, the fllwing must be checked in t the same McAfee epo branch where the package will be deplyed: 1. McAfee Agent r later 2. McAfee Endpint Security , , , r McAfee Endpint Security Adaptive Threat Prtectin r later (ptinal) 4. McAfee Data Lss Preventin 9.3 P6 r later (ptinal) 5. McAfee Data Exchange Layer Client 3.1 r later (ptinal) 6. McAfee Active Respnse Client 2.2 r later (ptinal) When the Endpint Upgrade Assistant package is deplyed t an endpint, it starts the Upgrade Autmatin prcess by: 1. Preparing the endpint: Dwnlad UA, MA, DLP, ENS, ATP, DXL, and MAR packages Verify n cnflicting prducts Verify crrect prduct Versins Verify ENS, OS minimum requirements are met Execute McAfee SysPrep t deal with third-party injectrs 2. Remving Legacy Prducts (if present): Harvest lcal VSE & HIPs plicies Remve VSE Remve HIPS 3. Upgrading and Installing: Upgrade McAfee Agent (if applicable) Install ENS Install ATP (ptinal) Install DXL (ptinal) Upgrade DLP (if applicable) Install MAR (ptinal) Reprt Status Requirements This release installs r upgrades McAfee Endpint Security n Windws systems fr all management types. Using Endpint Upgrade Assistant t migrate frm Windws 7 where Windws Update KB has nt been applied, may fail.
