1 Check Scan System Requirements Resident epay Minimum hardware requirements Monitor and video adapter 3.0 GHz processor 2 GB RAM 1024 x 768 screen resolution 16-bit color depth (65,536 colors) or higher Minimum software requirements Universal Serial Bus Supported browsers The following operating systems are supported: Windows 7, Windows 8, & Windows 8.1. Any Windows OS that will support.net Framework 4.0. USB 2.0 or higher (all preferred scanner hardware) Internet Explorer 11 (Browser support is dependent upon support for ClickOnce deployments. There are plug-ins available for Firefox and Chrome, however, as they are 3 rd party applications we neither recommend nor support them). Internet Explorer can be run as 32 or 64-bit. Third-party applications Microsoft.Net Framework 4.0 is required. Administrative Windows user requirements You must have a Windows user with administrative rights to download and install all components. 2 Internet bandwidth We recommend a high-speed wired Internet connection with an upload speed of at least 500 Kbps. We do not recommend a wireless connection. 3 Antivirus Software 1. Antivirus software should be disabled prior to installation of the scanner driver. 2. After a successful installation, the Antivirus software should be re-activated. Installation of RemitPlus Check Scanner 1. Make sure the scanner s USB cable is unplugged from the PC. 2. Open the install folder and double click on the installer for your check scanner model. a. Panini = InstallVisionXAdapter.exe b. RDM = InstallRDMScanAdapter.com c. TellerScan = InstallTellerScanAdapter.exe 3. Click next through each prompt, all default values can be used. 4. Once the installation has finished, plug in the check scanner s USB cable and power cord. 5. Windows should automatically recognize the scanner and finish the installation. You will see a notification saying Windows has successfully installed <check scanner driver>. Custom Scanner Modifications Panini - Double Feed Detection Best practice is to disable this setting at time of Panini scanner installation. This setting is per PC, not per login and is performed within the client software. If the user has scanned once and then experiences error below; end the task in the Windows Task Manager or reboot the PC BEFORE walking through steps below. 5 RDM granting local admin rights to driver path While global local admin rights are not necessary to scan with RemitPlus, the RDM scanner driver requires additional rights to the directory path to execute correctly. 1. Grant local admin rights to the path: C:\Program Files (x86)\rdm Alternative option is to launch the software while logged in as the administrator. Confirm once the administrator has logged off that the user can successfully launch the software and scan a check. If not, refer to option 1 above. Set up Internet Explorer If your computer is behind a firewall and/or proxy server, it must be configured to allow download and installation of ActiveXcontrols or browser plug-ins. To use check scan software with Internet Explorer, you may need to configure the following browser settings. 1. Disable the pop-up blocker. 2. Add to trusted sites. 3.
