9 The Adjustable Self-Closing Spring Hinges are designed to assist in the closing of Swimming Pool and Pathway Gates. This product conforms to Pool Safety Standards provided all other fencing materials, manufacturing and installation methods also conform to the same standards. The Manufacturer cannot accept responsibility for an accident where this device is used. Ultimately, pool safety is the responsibility of the owner. Freephone ADJUSTABLE SPRING HINGE NOTE: Swimming Pool Gates must be hinged so they self-close and open outwards from the Pool enclosure. 1. Before fixing the hinges, hold the gate in position and decide which way the gate will swing, then mark the location of where the hinges are ideally fixed on. Fix outside screws of both hinges to gate. 2. Fasten other outer hinge flaps to gate post. This has now automatically aligned gate to gatepost. 3. Open gate to 90deg. and fix all inside screws. 4. Adjust tension of both hinges using nail provided. Turn the adjuster (direction shown) and put fixing pin in hole on both hinges until the gate will close by itself. Designed and Manufactured in Australia FIXING PROCEDURE NOTE: For hinges used on Swimming Pool Gates, the tension must be adjusted so gate will self-close from 25mm of closed position.
