3 eneo NX series introduction Megapixel, H.264 compression, ONVIF conformance these three terms by themselves show that the latest eneo network cameras are state-of-the-art. And this is with a cost-effectiviness unique in the sector. But cameras in the NXC and NXD Series have far more to offer. Let s look at this point-by-point: The NXC covers network cameras, the NXD Series fixed domes. Both series have a choice of four versions: with one or two megapixels, and each with and without a removable IR cut filter. The NXC Series IP cameras with megapixel resolution. 4 Megapixel resolution The maximum resolution of 1600x1200 pixels delivers highly detailed video images. Of course, a megapixel resolution is not necessary for all applications. Requirements are constantly increasing though, and whenever persons or objects are to be clearly identified a resolution is required that goes beyond that of an analogue camera at 704x576 pixels. Example: when merely the movement is to be monitored in a supermarket, PAL resolution is sufficient. However, if the faces are to be clearly identifiable, eneo cameras are the better choice. The 1/3 Progressive Scan CMOS Sensor in particular also clearly reproduces quickly moving objects and persons. Details at a glance A camera with PAL resolution is good enough for an overview. However, if details are to be zoomed in on, such as with the NX Series digital zoom, then a resolution of at least one megapixel is needed. One megapixel camera can therefore replace two cameras with PAL resolution that would otherwise be necessary for monitoring the same sized area. The NX Series digital zoom focuses on relevant events.

6 Four multiple video streams The resolution, frame rate and bit rate can be individually configured for up to four multiple video streams. This multistream functionality allows optimal utilisation of available bandwidths and gives high flexibility in management of camera imagery on different platforms. Type designations The type designations allow you to easily identify the model type: 1301 and 1302 are designations for day/night models, 1401 and 1402 the purely colour models. The 1 or 2 at the end of the designation stands for the resolution of one or two megapixels.

7 H.264 compression In addition to MJPEG, all models offer the efficient H.264 compression that gives high picture quality with low bandwidth requirements. 9 ONVIF conformance A C B D Cameras and domes in the NXC and NXD Series support the ONVIF standard that guarantees products from different manufacturers can exchange information so and they can therefore be installed along with each other in a multi-vendor system. The flexibility provided by eneo cameras also means they can be used in third-party vendor systems. Motion detector Integral video motion detection in eneo cameras offers major benefits. The most important benefit is the processing of video motion detection in the camera itself as this reduces the workload for all system recording devices. Additionally, event controlled surveillance is made possible and relieves strain on security personnel as they are informed automatically whenever the video motion detector triggers an alarm. Motion detection can be configured separately for every video stream. Motion is detected only in the displayed window, other areas are ignored. Bundled software: Nimra and Numina The Nimra and Numina software solutions are bundled with the network cameras and fixed domes in the NXC and NXD Series. They are so powerful that additional programs are not needed for the majority of applications. The Windows-based programs with intuitive operation provide recording and playback in full megapixel resolution. PTZ control, export of recorded material, archiving, search in recordings and display or video sources by site plan are further functions. Support of the ONVIF standard for Numina also allows integration of network cameras made by other manufacturers. Furthermore, Smart Manager searches automatically for connected video sources and setup settings can be configured for single as well as several connected cameras at the same time. Nimra is a comprehensive solution for IP-based video surveillance.

10 ROI Region of Interest The ROI (Region of Interest) function allows particularly important regions to be designated. The corresponding signals are then transmitted at a high frame rate, resolution, bit rate and picture quality in the primary stream. Region sizes are individually configurable. Therefore, for instance, a camera can capture the complete point of sale in a supermarket and transmit it by H.264 stream. Simultaneously though, the cash register itself can be defined as a region of interest so that the transactions made there are displayed on a different monitor in higher signal quality over a H.264 or MJPEG stream. This means that the high resolution and picture quality of an eneo camera allows it to replace two cameras that would otherwise have to be used to monitor the larger zone. In combination with the intelligent motion detector, even large areas can be monitored. Additionally, the digital PTZ function allows a close eye to be kept on relevant imagery areas without having to physically move the camera. This is achieved by merely clicking on the relevant region in the screen area and the camera image pans to the intended target. 1 1 The scene under surveillance Of great interest is the automatic closing and opening mechanism of the gate, which is to be watched in particular with an eye still being kept on the fence and truck. 2 2 Display of the ROI Controller Click in the dropdown menu to display the ROI Controller ROI Controller Picture size and detail are set with only a few clicks. 4 Dual monitor display The defined Region of Interest is shown in the monitor on the left. An eye can be kept on the overall picture in the monitor on the right.

11 Local Recording on SD Card Security for the recordings is provided by optional storage on SD card. This local recording is enabled automatically when a movement is detected or an alarm triggered. The recordings of an event are therefore not lost even if when the network is down. Day/Night functionality Models are also available with day/night functionality for 24-hour surveillance. An integral switchable IR cut filter automatically provides clear video imagery. Power-over-Ethernet Power can be supplied over the Power over Ethernet function. It allows power to be delivered to the eneo cameras from the same cable that you also use for the network link. There is no longer any need for power sockets at the camera locations. Additionally, this also ensures the power supply is uninterrupted for continuous operation. But you want to use an external power unit? No problem. This form of power supply is also possible with eneo cameras. Maximum flexibility is therefore guaranteed for installation.
