2 MOTION PICTURE a series of pictures projected on a screen in a rapid succession with objects shown in successive positions slightly changed so as to produce the optical effect of a continuous picture in which the objects move

15 MEDIUM SHOT(MS) Generally shown from the waist up; background begins to be visible and potentially important; two-shots are possible
16 MEDIUM LONG SHOT(MLS) Human subject is shown from the knees up
17 LONG SHOT(LS) The whole human figure from head to feet is included in the frame, with the surrounding environment very visible
18 EXTREME LONG SHOT(LS) The camera is very far from the subject, giving the viewers a broad perspective. Often used to create an ESTABLISHING SHOT, to set up a new scene.
19 WEATHER SHOT(WS) Features the weather as the subject, but can be used for variety of purposes
20 CUT-IN (CI) Shows some (other) part of the subject in detail
21 CUT-AWAY (CA) Shot of some things other than the subject

30 EYE-LEVEL (EL) The camera is located at normal eye level
31 LOW - ANGLE (LA) The camera is positioned below the subject and shoots upward it.
32 WORM S EYE VIEW (WEV) The camera is placed directly under the subject. Also called as EXTREME LOW ANGLE.
33 DUTCH / CANTED SHOT The camera is tilted so that on screen, the horizon appears to be tilted.
34 POINT OF VIEW (POV) The camera acts as the eyes of the subject

38 PAN MAJOR FUNCTIONS: 1. To encompass view of the scene 2. To lead audience to a specific person or place 3. To follow a person or vehicle across a distant scene 4. To give the audience the visual images and perspective as seen by a character when turning his head
39 TILT The camera remains fixed but swivels vertically
40 TRACKING SHOT The camera itself travels horizontally Also refers particularly to a shot in which the camera follows the movement of a subject
41 CRANE SHOT The camera itself travels vertically
42 DOLLY SHOT Camera is mounted on a dolly and moves forward/closer (DOLLY IN) or backward/away (DOLLY OUT) from the subject.
43 HANDHELD SHOT This is used to give the impression of the POV of a person walking for greater naturalism or to create suspense.
44 ZOOM SHOT Technically, not a moving shot because the camera itself does not move the zoom is made by the zoom lens. Closer to (Zoom in) or away from (Zoom out) the subject
