Based on the established multi-focal systems of Fresnel Lenses, HLX 3000 provides perfect illumination. The complex geometry of Fresnel lenses produces a focal point cascade: numerous focal points are arranged in different, vertical spatial planes. As a result, providing directed light to every point of the illuminated surgical site. The multi-focal-point system creates a column of focused light. This light-column provides even, homogeneous light distribution with optimized in-depth illumination,therefore eliminating the repositioning of the light. Each individual port illuminates the entire light field so that any obstruction of one light port is compensated by the other ; with this accurate light distribution, repositioning the light is unnecessary and cast shadows do not occur. The multi-focal point systems allows the light to focus from a distance of 1.8 meters (70.9 inch). The optical technology of the HLX 3000 lighting systems has been improved due to the integration of the IRC (infrared coated) halogen bulb. The infrared coating on the lower 40-Watt bulb reflects the heat back to the filament so the heat remains inside the lamp, using less energy.

The handle s ergonomics were designed to easily position the lighting during procedures. The rounded shape of the cupola allows better laminar flow compatibility. To provide the surgical team with images or patient data, HLX 3000 offers an innovative suspension to convey all types of digital or analogical signals.

Single, duo, triple and the opional integration of Multimedia light configurations are available. HLx 3000 Multimedia Support offers a solution for inccreasing demand for multimedia applications inside the operating room. It can accomodate any kind of flat screen from 15 to 21 as long as they are equipped with a VESA 75 or 100 interface, on the same axis than the light. Combined with the SATELITE suspension, the HLX 3000 enlarges its multimedia capabilities and can be installed with flatscreen, separate camera or equipment supports as with IV pump units.
