2 SYNC2/SYNC3 DISPLAYS Use this manual for adding backup camera and/ or auxiliary camera on Ford 8 Sync 2, 8 Sync 3, or 4 Sync 3 display vehicles. These vehicles should all have a display connected directly to a SYNC module. For 4 Displays with a 12-pin connector, see 4 MyFord install manual. Set DIP switches using a pick or suitable tool to the desired configuration while the module is not connected to the vehicle. Switches 1-5 set the configuration, #6 sets the camera behavior, and 7 and 8 should be set to on. See the following sections for more information. MODULE CONFIGURATION Without Factory Backup Camera * 9 AUXILIARY CAMERA ACTIVATION Easy-read Install Manual Use only the orange highlighted tab specific to the product you are installing! * 13 TROUBLESHOOTING Before Installing: Disconnect negative battery terminal before beginning instllation! DIP Switches must be set before installation of interface module! For vehicle specific instructions for dash disassembly, reference workshop manual. WITH Factory Backup Camera *For both Satellite Radio and Camera add-on, contact supplier. NOTE: Modules can only be used on ONE vehicle. The unit is locked by VIN and can be used more than once ONLY on the same vehicle in case modules are accidentally reprogrammed.

3 POWER AND SIGNAL CONNECTION For adding auxiliary camera AUXILIARY CAMERA ADD-ON with FACTORY Backup Camera (Aux Add-On ONLY) For all other applications, continue to next page. 1. Connect 6-pin molex connector from vehicle specific T-Harness & 12-pin molex connector from ARC-357 accessory harness to the Interface Module. 2. Connect RCA connectors from ARC-357 Accessory Harness to T-harness as pictured. Connect OEM Cam Out to Rear Cam Input. 3. Connect camera power to Accessory +12V output & supplied ground. Do not use reverse power for camera. See Diagram, next page 4. Auxiliary Camera Connection: See Diagram, next page 5. Auxiliary Camera Activation: See Page 8,9 4 Accessory Power & RCA Connections 5 Proceed to Aux Cam Activation - Page 8 NO PROGRAMMING NECESSARY

4 POWER AND SIGNAL CONNECTION Adding Backup camera + Optional Aux Camera BACKUP CAMERA ADD-ON + Optional 2nd Camera - Without Factory Backup Camera 1. Connect 12-pin molex connector from ARC-357 accessory harness to the Interface Module. 2. Connect RCA connectors from ARC-357 Accessory Harness to T-harness as pictured. 3. Connect camera power to Accessory +12V output & supplied ground. Do not use reverse power for camera. See Diagram 4. Auxiliary Camera Connection/Activation: See Page 8,9 6 Accessory Power & RCA Connections 7 PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS 1. With vehicle Ignition OFF Install T-Harness behind FCDIM (Display). Connect vehicle battery at this time. A2 - ACM PROGRAMMING and J1 Jumper remain connected at this time. 2. Connect module to 6-Pin Connector A1 - APIM PRO- GRAMMING. 3. Turn vehicle Ignition to ON/RUN. Do not start vehicle. 4. Programming will initiate automatically at this time. Radio/ Display should reset twice at this point. Traction Control Disabled will be displayed on the instrument cluster temporarily on compatible vehicles to show that APIM programming has completed successfully. 5. Turn vehicle Ignition OFF, remove module from A1, remove Jumper J1 from harness. 6. Connect module to A2. The module will reside on this connector for normal vehicle operation. 7. Test Programming by placing vehicle in reverse with foot firmly on the brake, and clear surroundings. 8. If programming is unsuccessful, turn key off, disconnect module, verify DIP switch settings, and perform procedure again.

5 CAMERA OPERATION For Satellite Radio skip to Page 10 8 Auxiliary Camera Activation: 9 IMPORTANT NOTES If camera functionality is tested without camera(s) fully powered and connected, system may display a Camera not Available message and will temporarily disable camera input. Allowing the vehicle to sit for 5 minutes with ignition off will reset the function. Camera Operation & Behavior Display may stay in reverse camera mode until vehicle is driven to 7MPH. This is a factory function and cannot be changed. Manual Activation On compatible vehicles, the secondary camera can be activated by pressing and holding the OK button for 3 seconds on either the radio controls, or the steering wheel. Press the OK button once more to return to normal operation. If the OK Button does not work, try the SYNC Voice command button. See diagrams The green manual activation wire can be connected to +12V or Ground to manually activate the secondary camera. This can also be adjusted to only recognize either using the ARC 357 PC Configuration Tool. Blind Spot mode will automatically activate the aux camera with the right blinker in compatible vehicles. If your vehicle is not compatible, you will need to use the manual trigger wire. Make sure Blind Spot activation is turned on using the ARC 357 PC Configuration Tool. ARC-357 Configuration Tool Use the ARC 357 Configuration tool to set custom options for your custom install For Blind Spot Camera installations, enable automatic blind spot activation in compatible vehicles, adjust maximum camera on time. (DIP Switch #6 should be set to ON) For Cargo Camera installations, disable backup camera priority to allow the cargo cam to be used when lining up a trailer or camper.
