5 1 Battery SIM/USIM card SD card 1.1 About U3900's Battery: Material: Li-ion Capacity: 900mAh Standby time: About 400 hours (WCDMA)/ 393 hours (GSM) (network dependant) Talk time of voice calls: About 282 minutes (WCDMA)/ 250 minutes(gsm)(network dependant) Charging time with the charger: About 3.5 hours 1.2 What is the maximum capability that the U3900 supports? The U3900 phone supports 8G Micro-SD card maximum. 1.3 What is the built-in storage capacity of the phone? There is about 45MB for users. 2 Calls 2.1 How can I dumb the ring but not reject the phone during a call? You can press Silence on the right softkey. 2.2 How to use the Handfree function? During a call, you can press the Speaker/Normal on the right softkey or select Speaker/Normal in the option menu to switch between the loud speaker of the phone and the earpiece. 2.3 How can I make my voice mute? Select mute/unmute in the option menu to make your voice mute and restart the conversation by pressing it again. 2.4 How to set the phone in answer mode? Menu->Settings->Phone->Filp Filp open to answer calls Filp close to end calls Page5, Total 11 pages
6 Menu->Settings->Call->Answer Mode To answer an incoming call by press send key To answer an incoming call by press any key 2.5 How to set the phone in headset auto answer? Menu->Settings->Call->Headset Auto-Answer Off --- Not auto answer an incoming call even when headset inserted 2 Seconds --- To auto answer 2 seconds after an incoming call when headset inserted 5 Seconds --- To auto answer 5 seconds after an incoming call when headset inserted 10 Seconds --- To auto answer 10 seconds after an incoming call when headset inserted 2.6 How to dial a new number during a call? Call waiting service needs to be supplied by the operator. You can input the phone number directly or you can find the phone number from the contact and press Send key. At this moment, the primary call will be hold. And you will be switched to the new call. 2.7 How to switch among calls? Your phone must support the function of call waiting. Press options and select Swap from the pop up menu. 2.8 How to make a conference call? Ensure that both of your phone and the SIM card support call waiting function. First start call conversation with Party A, and then dial Party B during conversation; You can select Swap to switch conversation between the two parties, and select Conference Call to connect both Party A and B. 2.9 How to make a record during a call? 7 3 Contacts 3.1 What s the storage capacity of the contacts? 1. The phone can store 1000 contacts, 20 VIPs, 10 Groups. 2. The capacity of the SIM/USIM card is related to its memory; contact your operator for it. 3.2 How to know the memory status of Contacts? Access menu, select Contacts Options Memory status 3.3 How to backup and restore Contacts? Insert SD card,select Menu-> Contacts Options->Manage Contacts Back Up to Memory Card Restore From Memory Card. 4 Text Message, Picture Message(SMS,MMS) 4.1 What s Push Message? Push Message is a kind of advertisement message which contains a web page link, through which you can get relevant advertisement information. The senders are often network service providers. When mobile phones cannot receive MMS normally, network service providers will upload the MMS onto the server and send the Push Message to customers. In this way, customers can read the MMS through web browsing. Note: some Push Messages may be threatening. 4.2 How to set SMS centre? Path:Menu->Messages->Settings->SMS->SMS Center Number 4.3 How to enabled/disable delivery report? U3900 does not support enabled/disable delivery report. Page7, Total 11 pages

APN: Menu->Settings->Connectivity->Network Access Point MMS account: Menu->Messages->Settings->MMS-MMS Account. 5 Multimedia 5.1 What format of video and audio files could the U3900 phone support? Video files' format: not support Audio files format: *.mp3, *.midi, *.amr, *.aac, *.wav, *.m4a Picture files format: *.jpg,*.jpeg,*.jpe,*.png,*.bmp,*.wbmp,*.gif Document files format: not support Ebook files format: *.txt 5.2 Could the U3900 phone support the MP3 playing on the background? U3900 support the MP3 playing on the background 5.3 Could the U3900 phone support Bluetooth earphone? U3900 phone support Bluetooth earphone 5.4 Are there any limits in file name? It should be less than 20 characters. 5.5 Can the system automatically fit the picture on the screen, when I set my wallpaper? U3900 can automatically fit the picture on the screen. 5.6 Where are the images and voice record saved? U3900 not support record 5.7 How to take pictures on the basis of timing? 9 6 Tools 6.1 How can I delay the Schedule and the Alarm? How long can I delay? Press the Snooze. The operation of delay can be executed and the default delay time is 5 minutes. 6.2 Can the alarm clock work when the power is off? Yes, the alarm clock can work when the power is off. 7 WAP INTERNET 7.1 How can I use U3900 to surf on internet? You can use the browser to browse the WAP website. 7.2 How can I browse WAP page? Enter Menu->Internet Notice: Network settings are defined by operator, please get them from operator. The Network access point references the settings in Connectivity->Network Access Point. 7.3 How can I save my favorite page? Press the Options and select the Save Webpage when you are browsing the page. You can select Options->Advanced->Saved pages to view it. 7.4 Why I cannot open the files downloaded from the web? Please check the file type that U3900 supports. There are some types of files that U3900 cannot support, such as RM, and RMVB. 7.5 How to send ? U3900 does not support . Page9, Total 11 pages
10 8 Applications 8.1 How to check the free space? Enter Menu->Gallery->Options->Memory status 8.2 Why I cannot install games downloaded from internet, and some files cannot be identified. There are some types of files that U3900 cannot support.u3900 support types as belows: 1.JTWI1.0(JSR185);2,JSR139(CLDC1.1);3,JSR118(MIDP2.0);4,JSR135(MMAPI);5,JSR 120(WMA 1.1);6,JSR75 Notice: U3900 not support DRM 8.3 How to install JAVA? U3900 will install automatic when downloaded java from internet.. If there are java files in your handset/sd card, Menu->Gallery, select your jar/jad files to install. 9 Security 9.1 How to set my Phone password? Enter Menu->Settings->Security->Phone lock 9.2 What is the PIN for accessing the handset after switching on? Two Passwords:handset code & PIN code. Handset code:from Handset,Initial value is PIN:Depend on USIM card, please check guidance book or consult operator. 10 Others 10.1 How to turn on Bluetooth? Menu->Settings->Connectivity->Bluetooth 10.2 What will be reset when user choose Master Reset? User data will be saved and all settings will be set to default.
