3 OVERVIEW This document details the download, installation and registration of the GocycleConnect App when using Android devices and a Gocycle operating pre-version 72 firmware. Note: When attempting to upgrade a Gocycle from a firmware version lower than version 72, it is not possible to do so by an Apple ios device. Refer to an Android device to upgrade the Gocycle in the first instance. It is possible to use an Apple ios device for a Gocycle operating firmware version 72 or higher only. CAUTION: OPERATION OF THE GOCYCLE MAY DIFFER BETWEEN FIRMWARE REVISIONS. IF UPDATING, CHECK THE RELEVANT OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE RIDING, AVAILABLE AT If you have any questions, or require any further assistance, please contact your local reseller. TO GET STARTED To successfully complete the procedure ensure the following; Your device has Android 3.0 or later installed You have an internet connection (3G or Wi-Fi) Your Gocycle is switched ON You are not more than 2m away from your Gocycle Karbon Kinetics Limited. DOWNLOADING THE GOCYCLE CONNECT ANDROID APP Note: Before continuing, ensure you have an internet connection. 1.1 Enter the Android Play Store by selecting the Play Store icon on your Android device. 1.2 Open the Search function by clicking on the symbol and type in Gocycle. 1.3 Download the Gocycle Connect App by clicking on the Gocycle app

2. REGISTERING YOUR ANDROID APP 2.1 To connect to your Gocycle, first search for a Gocycle within range by clicking on the symbol. 2.2 The Gocycle Connect App will begin scanning for a Gocycle within range.

Enter your address and click Submit. CAUTION! Ensure that the address is entered correctly. NB. Your address can only contain letters, numbers, fullstops (.), hyphens (-) and underscores (_). 13 3. HOW TO: FIRMWARE UPDATE A Gocycle operating firmware version earlier than v72 must first be updated before the App can be fully utilised. Complete the app installation by following the process detailed below. 3.1 When an updated Firmware version is available, the Firmware Update Available text will be highlighted in red and the Firmware Update... tab bold, as shown. 3.2 To update the Gocycle Firmware, click on the Firmware Update... tab. The two right-hand LEDs will flash alternately while the battery whilst the battery enters Sleep Mode.

When the Gocycle is in Sleep Mode all LEDs will remain off.

When the Gocycle is in Sleep Mode all LEDs will remain off. When in Sleep Mode all dash LEDs will remain off. 3.6 Press and hold both buttons (A and B), shown. 3.7 Whilst continuing to press and hold buttons A and B, turn the Gocycle ON. Press and hold the button until two left LEDs begin to flash. *Assistance may be required at this stage. The two left-hand LEDs will flash alternately whilst the Gocycle is turning ON.
