4 GET ONLINE USING BIGPOND BROADBAND AT HOME GET ENTERTAINED USING T-BOX, BIGPOND MOVIES AND FOXTEL ON T-BOX Your new BigPond Broadband service is a great way to get online. It runs on Australia s largest fixed broadband network, and you ll be browsing and ing in no time. IT S THIS EASY TO GET ONLINE 01. Open your modem kit and put the installation CD into your computer. 02. Run the CD and follow the steps to connect your modem, cables and ADSL splitter (if needed). The CD will even help you set up your web browser, and home Wi-Fi connections. STAY PROTECTED ONLINE Automatic protection Your BigPond service makes online security easier with a range of built-in and bolt-on security features. SETTING UP YOUR T-BOX If you have a Telstra Entertainer Bundle Range plan or you have added a T-Box to your bundle, check out the Getting Started Guide included with your T-Box, and when you re ready: 01. make sure your BigPond service is set up (see page 04), and your T-Box is close to your modem (plugged into your ethernet or in good Wi-Fi range) 02. connect all the cables and power 03. turn on your T-Box and follow the on-screen installation steps (you ll need to have your Wi-Fi username and password handy). 2. REGISTER YOUR T-BOX Once you have your T-Box hooked up, you ll need to register it before you can get it online. To do so: 01. login to telstra.com/tboxsetup using your BigPond address and Password (see page 04) 02. enter the Registration Code that s printed on the base of your T-Box. Remember to stay logged in if you want to register for BigPond Movies and Foxtel on T-Box. BIGPOND Your Bundle comes with a complimentary BigPond account. It s a fully featured service that includes Microsoft Outlook.com and gives you access to a range of features including online storage and built-in Office Web Apps. 5 3. REGISTER FOR BIGPOND MOVIES BigPond Movies provides great viewing options, with over 6,000 movies and TV episodes available to rent from $3.99. If you have a Telstra Entertainer Bundle Range plan, you need to register for BigPond Movies to access your Foxtel on T-Box Get Started package. To register: follow the links on telstra.com/tboxsetup make sure you have a valid credit card available for age verification select from the 3 payment options credit card, debit card and Telstra Bill. You can change your payment option at any time. 4. ACCESS FOXTEL ON T-BOX If you have a Telstra Entertainer Bundle Range plan your Foxtel on T-Box Get Started package will automatically appear on your T-Box account screen. You ll receive a credit for the Foxtel on T-Box Get Started package on your bill. WANT TO ADD FOXTEL ON T-BOX TO YOUR TELSTRA BUNDLE? If you want to add Foxtel on T-Box to your Telstra Bundle Range plan, you have two options. Either add a T-Box to your Bundle ($15 per month for 24 months or $360 outright), and subscribe to the Get Started Package ($19.50 per month), or even better, upgrade to one of the Telstra Entertainer Bundle Range plans. You must pass our service qualification checks and your TV and premises must meet minimum requirements for T-Box and Foxtel on T-Box. GETTING MORE FOXTEL ON T-BOX CHANNELS The Get Started package has 11 popular channels, including Discovery Channel, Nickelodeon, MTV and Fox 8. Depending on the Bundle you ve chosen, it will come with one or more of the following great ways for your family to be in touch when they re on the move. GETTING CONNECTED UNLOCK THE FEATURES FAMILY CALLS BENEFIT MOBILE BUNDLE BONUS Before you set up your T-Hub 2, your home phone service needs to be active. You ll also need to have your home Wi-Fi working and have your BigPond username and password handy (see page 04). 01. Make sure your T-Hub 2 is in Wi-Fi range and close to your phone socket. 02. Use the T-Hub 2 set up guide to connect all the cables. 03. Turn on your T-Hub 2 and follow the set up steps on-screen (you ll need your Wi-Fi username and password). The T-Hub 2 comes with a cordless handset, as well as the fabulous touch screen tablet. You can use either to make calls and you can expand your system to include as many as 5 handsets or tablets. It s the perfect way to keep in touch with your family members when they re out and about. Watch out for a message from Telstra to let you know when this feature is active. If you ve chosen one of our Telstra Entertainer Bundle Range plans or Telstra Everyday Bundle, Telstra Max Bundle or Telstra Pinnacle Bundle, you re eligible to receive the Mobile Bundle Bonus. That means you can add $50 of bonus value to up to four of your family s eligible Telstra Post-Paid mobile plans each month. All of your mobile plans must be on the same Single Bill as your Bundle to be eligible for the Mobile Bundle Bonus. 7 TAKE CONTROL MANAGING YOUR ACCOUNT We know you re busy, so we ve set up some great ways to help make managing your Bundle a breeze. It s all online too, so you can check on your account when it is convenient. MY ACCOUNT AND TELSTRA 24x7 APP PAYMENT OPTIONS TELSTRA MOBILE BROADBAND 500MB STARTER PLAN If you re lucky enough to have a Bundle including the Telstra Mobile Broadband 500MB Starter Plan, you ll have access to 500MB of mobile broadband data to use in Australia each month on a Telstra Mobile Network compatible tablet or mobile broadband device. Need a Tablet or device? If you need a new tablet or personal hotspot device to use with your mobile broadband SIM card, visit a Telstra store to check out some great options. Get it going To get online, simply take your mobile broadband SIM card and: 01. place it in your compatible tablet or mobile broadband device 02. switch on your device and start browsing. Stay on top of your data usage If you exceed your data usage allowance in a monthly billing period, you ll be charged 10 per MB for excess data. We know monitoring your data usage can be tricky so we have made it easy for you to stay in control, using the Telstra 24x7 App and My Account. See page 11 for more information about getting set up to use these great services. Top up with a Data Pack If you think you re going to go over your 500MB allowance (or already are), you can top up your data allowance with a Data Pack. Data Packs are available in set monthly amounts ranging from 250MB to 8GB. You can subscribe to a Data Pack so you get the extra data every month. For pricing or to add a Data Pack, visit My Account (see page 11 for details). Heading overseas? It s important to remember that your Telstra Mobile Broadband 500MB Starter Plan and any Data Packs you may have added only include data usage within Australia. Any data you use overseas will cost $15.36 per MB so we strongly recommend choosing a separate International Casual Traveller Data Pack if you ll be travelling. With My Account and the Telstra 24x7 App, you can securely manage your accounts and services at any time. Register for My Account Go to telstra.com/myaccount, have your account number handy and register now for My Account. Get the Telstra 24x7 App It s available for use on iphone, ipad, Android smartphones and Facebook (from your PC or laptop). Download the Telstra 24x7 App from the App Store or Google Play and you can: manage your bill view your estimated call and data usage locate a nearby Telstra store. Once you ve downloaded the app, simply enter your My Account details so you can view all of your linked Telstra accounts and services. Without My Account, you can only view limited information within the Telstra 24x7 App. Please note: data charges may apply when downloading the Telstra 24x7 App. You have a choice of ways to pay your bills as they fall due. These include the convenience of paying online, using your bank s BPAY services, and a range of set-and-forget Direct Debit options. Telstra Plus Services are not available on Linux operating systems.
