Hearing aid compatibility M4 / T4 This telephone is equipped with T Coil coupler making it compatible with most popular hearing aids. Due to the wide range of hearing aids available there is no guarantee that the telephone will function with all hearing aid models. Please check your hearing aid immunity rating is higher than M2. This rating can be provided by the manufacturer of your hearing aid. Instruments with rating lower than M2 may not be compatible with this telephone. When using this telephone press the T button on your hearing aid to switch it to Telecoil mode, this will link your hearing aid to the phone and will enable clearer sound without background noises. Please check if your hearing aid is equipped with T facility and if it is automatic or manual. Hearing aids with high immunity rating equipped with automatic T mode should be able to detect your phone automatically and switch over to T position. Hearing aids with Manual T function would need manual activation of this function on your hearing aids.
4 USER MANUAL Safety Instruction Please read below detail instructions carefully. It may have danger or illegality if you do not follow these instructions. This user manual includes detail information about safety instruction. Switch on Phone Safely Please do not switch on your phone when it might have interference or danger by using phone or phone is forbidden in this area. Pay attention to the traffic safety According to the recent research, it may have danger to use phone when you are driving even though you are using the hands-free device (such as hands-free device in auto, earphone, etc.). The driver is required not to use phone when they are driving. When phone is switched on, the electromagnetic wave from phone will interference the electronic system of auto, such as ABS anti-explosion brake system or SRS (supplemental restraint system). 5 M270 Interference All kinds of phones may be interfered by environment, and then the performance of phones might be influenced. Phone may interfere with some electric appliance such as electronic TV, radiogram, PC and so on. Turn off your cell phone in the site of medical and health care. Please switch off your phone in the site of medical and health care except some designated area where phone can be used. Phone will interfere with the running of electronic equipment, electron device or radio frequency device near around, just like the other usual equipment. Switch off on airplane Please follow the related regulations. Please switch your phone before boarding. Switch off in gas station Cell phone should be turned off around the site of explode. To avoid the interference to exploding, please switch off your phone when you see the mark of site of explode or turn off bidirectional radio devices. Please abide any related forbidden regulation, and execute any regular or statute which related with cell phone s using. Using phone correctly Please use phone in normal position. Please do not touch antenna area if not necessary. Do not let children use phone without any supervision. SIM card can be taken out from phone. 6 USER MANUAL Accessories and batteries Use only the approved accessories and batteries. Please do not connect with any product which doem270 t match with this phone. Please be sure the phone has been switched off before taking out battery. Please deal with the scrap batteries properly according to the local status. Waterproof The phone doem270 t have performance of waterproof. Please do not expose your phone in inclement weather or environment (such as wet, raining, liquid leakage, seawater, mirage, and so on). Emergency calling Please be sure your phone is power on and in the service available area. According to demands, press end key repeatedly to clear the content in screen and go back to standby mode, or press number key directly, then input emergency phone number. And then press answer key to describe where you are. Please do not hang up your phone without permission. Switch On / Off Phone Switch On - Long press to switch on. If you already set the PIN code ON, then you need to type in PIN code. Type in the code and press green key to enter. Then phone will be on. (Default PIN code is 1122) 4
7 M270 Warning: SIM card will be locked if you type wrong code for three times. And it will inform you to type in PUK code. (Please contact your network service vendor to unlock it if needed) Switch Off - Long press to switch off the phone at standby mode. Stand by Mode When phone is ready to use but no operation is done on phone, then phone is under stand by mode. Phonebook In Main Menu select the PhoneBook by Up/ Down Arrow keys and enter the screen. The number of maximum entries of the phone is up to 300. Both SIM card and phone can use to store phonebook. 8
11 M270 The menu of PhoneBook: Quick Search: search the entries quickly by input the key(s) in the phonebook list Add new contact: add a new contact, input the number and name. Select a contact in the list for the following operations: Send message: send the message to the contact Call: call the contact Edit: edit a contact Delete: delete a contact Copy: copy a contact to phone memory, to SIM memory o to file Move: move the contact from SIM card to phone memory Add to black list: add the contact to black list Mark several: manage and modify contacts group details Caller groups Phonebook settings: Preferred storage: set preferred storage between SIM card or phone memory Speed dial: You can assign number keys 2 to 9 as shortcuts to important phone numbers. Press and hold a corresponding number key in idle screen to dial the number My number: edit the owner number Extra numbers: there have owner numbers, fixed dial and service numbers Memory status: view the status of the used/ free size in the SIM card/phone Copy contacts: view the status of the used/ free size in the SIM card/phone Move contacts: move the contacts between phone and SIM card 9

Call history In the call history, you can carry out the following operations: Missed Calls: record the number of missed calls Dialed Calls: record the number of dialed numbers Received Calls: record the number of received calls Delete Call Logs: delete the record of missed calls, or dialed calls, or received calls Call Timers: record of: SIM 1 last call SIM 1 dialled call SIM 1 received call SIM 1 reset all SIM 2 last call SIM 2 dialled call SIM 2 received call SIM 2 reset all Text msg. counter: record the number of sent messages and received messages 4. Multimedia Select Multimedia for the following operations: Camcorder: Press the central key to take images with the built-in camera Gallery: view the selected images Video player: view video file in your mobile phone Photo editor: modify an image Audio player: play a MP3 file of the music list to enter the MP3 player interface Sound recorder: select sound recording to enter into the sound recording interface 10
13 M270 FM radio: listen FM radio and search manually or auto channels 5. SOS setting SOS mode setting You can use and to scroll through the menu to Select the SOS mode: SOS mode setting: Select Off then the SOS function will be disable. SOS message: modify SOS message. Set 5 numbers: you can set up to 5 numbers for SOS calls. The telephone will automatically call these 5 numbers when SOS function activated 6. You can customize each user profile and choose alert type, ring type, ringtone, message ringtone, keypad ringtone, power on and power off ringtone Call settings: - SIM 1 call settings: Caller ID: set by network, hide ID, send ID Call waiting: activate, deactivate, query status Call divert: divert all voice calls, divert if unreachable, divert if no answer, divert if busy, divert all data calls, cancel all diverts 11

File manager You can use File manager to organize your files in folders. 12
15 M270 If a memory card is inserted, the files stored on it are organized separately. 8. Organizer Calendar: View the calendar. You can also view the tasks (To Do List), Add task, jump to date, or go to the weekly view on or off, via options Calculator Tasks: If activated, the phone rings as a reminder when the set time arrives. You can view, add, edit and delete task if required Alarm: Select one of the alarm setting, you can set the alarm time, how it will should repeat, select the alarm melody tone, set M270ooze type and alert type. You can enable or disable the setting Notes: The note record some things Electric torch: ON/OFF electric torch 9. Services In the main menu interface, press the left soft key to select Services, you may make use of functions, such as Internet service, STK services. Troubleshooting Before contacting the after sales department, you are advised to follow the instructions below: You are advised to switch off the telephone from time to time to optimise its performance. You are advised to fully charge the battery for optimal operation. Avoid storing large amounts of data in your telephone as this may affect the performance of your telephone. 13
16 USER MANUAL My mobile phone does not switch on: Press until the screen comes on; Check the battery charge level; Check the battery contacts, remove and reinstall your battery, then turn your telephone back on. My phone has not responded for several minutes: Press the key; Remove the battery and re-insert it, then switch the phone back on. My screen is difficult to read: Clean your screen; Use your mobile phone in accordance with the recommended conditions of use. My mobile phone turns off by itself: Check that your keypad is locked when you are not using your mobile phone; Check the battery charge level; Check that the function Auto OFF is not activated. My mobile phone does not charge properly: Make sure that your battery is not completely discharged; the battery charge indicator can take several minutes and may be accompanied by a quiet hissing sound; Make sure charging is carried out under normal conditions; Make sure your battery is inserted. It must be inserted before plugging in the charger; Make sure you are using the correct battery and charger approved by Made EZY; When abroad, check that the electrical current is compatible; 14
17 M270 Try connecting in another location; Verify the network coverage with your operator; Check with your operator that your SIM card is valid; Try selecting the available network(s) manually; Try connecting at a later time if the network is overloaded. SIM card error: Make sure the SIM card was correctly inserted; Verify with your operator that your SIM card is compatible; Make sure the chip on your SIM card is not damaged or scratched. Unable to make outgoing calls: Make sure you have dialled a valid number and pressed the key; For international calls, make sure you have entered the country and area codes; Make sure your mobile phone is connected to a network, and that the network is not overloaded or unavailable; Check your subscription with your operator (credit, SIM card valid,etc.); Make sure you have not barred outgoing calls. Unable to receive incoming calls: Make sure your mobile phone is switched on and connected to a network (check for overloaded or unavailable network); Check your subscription with your operator (credit, SIM card valid,etc.); Make sure you have not forwarded incoming calls; Make sure that you have not barred certain calls. 15
18 USER MANUAL The caller s name does not appear when a call is received: Check that you have subscribed to this service with your operator; Your caller has concealed his/her number. The sound quality of the calls is not optimal: You can adjust the volume during a call by means of the key; Check the radio reception icon. I am unable to use the features described in the manual: Check with your operator to make sure that your subscription includes this service. When I select a number from my directory, the number is not dialed: Make sure that you have correctly recorded the number in your file; Make sure that you have selected the country prefix when calling a foreign country. I am unable to create a file in my directory: Make sure that your directory is not full; delete some files or save the files in the product directory. My callers are unable to leave messages on my voic Contact your network operator to check service availability. I can t access my voic Make sure your operator s voic number is correctly entered in Call services/voic ; Try later if the network is busy. 16
19 M270 I am unable to send and receive messages: Check your phone memory as it might be full, if necessary, delete some Messages; Contact your network operator to check service availability, see the messages settings; Verify the server centre number with your operator. The server centre may be saturated; try again later. The << - >> icon is displayed: You are outside the network coverage area; I have already entered 3 incorrect PIN codes; Contact your network operator to obtain the PUK code (Personal Unblocking Key); My mobile phone does not connect to a network. Warnings: Mobile phone maximum operating temperature range 0~45ºC Use only batteries approved by Made EZY.
