1 DST DATA ROAMING BUNDLE FAQ GENERAL What is DST Data Roaming Bundle? DST Data Roaming Bundle is an Opt in subscription based package for a fixed subscription charges, available whilst roaming ONLY in selected Mobile Network Operators of selected countries by PRIMA Mobile Subscribers. What do I need to subscribe Data Roaming Bundle? To subscribe, you need to have the followings: 1. DST Prima Postpaid Plan 2. GPRS Service 3. IDD & Roaming Service 4. Compatible Mobile Device with Data Capable I am a Prima Postpaid Plan user, but my Roaming Service is not activated, would I be able to subscribe and use the DST Data Roaming Bundle? You are able to purchase DST Data Roaming Bundle if you have sufficient Credit Limit balance above $100. However, you would not be able to consume the purchased bundle unless your IDD & Roaming services is in active status. You must ensure your IDD & Roaming service is active before leaving the country to subscribe DST Data Roaming Bundle. You may call DSTCare 151 before your travel for assistance How does it Work? DST Data Roaming bundle can be subscribed by dialing *410# where you will be directed to a Menu for available bundle. Please refer to the provided Step-by-Step guide. I am a PRIMA Multi-SIM user. Can I subscribe Data Roaming Bundle from my supplementary SIM? Yes, you can subscribe from your supplementary SIM. However, if you have subscribed from your Primary SIM, the data allowance will be combined and shared. Both bundles will be valid for 24 hours after the last purchased from any of the two SIM. How do I know if my subscription to DST Data Roaming bundle is successful and activated? You will receive notification messages via USSD and SMS confirming your successful purchased and it s activation. If for some reason, you do not received the messages. Please make a Balance Inquiry by dialing *410# to check and ensure the purchased bundle has been successfully purchased. What is the validity of 1-Day Plan Data Roaming Bundle? 1-Day Plan validity is 24 hours after purchased regardless of the time zone.

2 Example: If you purchased your Data Roaming Bundle in Malaysia at 1 pm it will expire the next day at 1 pm Malaysian Time. What happen if my mobile device switches over to non-selected mobile network of my purchased plan? Your data roaming usage will be charged at the prevailing roaming rates. Please be reminded to set your Mobile Network/Carrier setting to a Manual mode and constantly monitor the mobile network availability. MANAGING YOUR BUNDLE How do I know the expiry date and time of my purchased bundle? You could do the following: 1. Keep the SMS notification received upon successful purchased to keep track or set as a reminder of the expiry time counted 24 hours after receiving the SMS. 2. Manually record your purchased date and time in case of late SMS notification. Please be reminded the customer is to be alert of their Data Roaming Bundle expiry. Is it possible to increase Data Roaming Bundle allowance? Yes, it will always be possible to increase your data allowance by re-purchasing the same bundle before expiry. However, the increase in the data allowance will be valid for 24 hours after each of new purchased. How can I cancel my Data Roaming bundle subscription? Any confirmed purchase of DST Data Roaming Plan cannot be cancelled, it will be forfeited and non refundable Can I purchase multiple/dditional DST Data Roaming Bundles? Yes, you can purchase multiple/additional DST Data Roaming Bundles. You can also increase your existing DST Data Roaming Bundles data allowance before expiry. Please be reminded the multiple purchase of different plan will run simultaneously and expire 24 hours after purchased of each plan. Can I purchase the DST Data Roaming Bundles locally before leaving Brunei? Yes, you may. However, your subscription is running and expires 24 hours after purchased. It is advisable to purchase once you have arrived at your destination for maximum usage and assure the data coverage availability of the intended mobile network operator. Will I be alerted when my DST Data Roaming bundle data allowance expires? Customer is to monitor and alert of their bundle expiry. To complement, SMS Notification will be sent upon reaching 80%, 90% & 100% usage threshold. Please take note that the SMS Notification received dependent on the SMS load, you might not received it on time. Customer is to be alert of their bundle expiry!

3 How do I check to keep track of my purchased DST Data Roaming Bundle data allowance? You can check your data allowance by dialing *410# with the following steps: Step 1: Select country Step 2: Select 'Balance Enquiry' Step 3: Your remaining data allowance is display Can I use the purchased DST Data Roaming Bundle when my Prima line reaches its credit limit? Your Prima Postpaid line will automatically be barred once you have reached the pre-allocated Credit Limit. You cannot use the purchased data allowance in the case. However, you may continue to use your data allowance if the barring to your line has been lifted while the bundle is still valid. Can I continue to use my data allowance from my data roaming bundle when my PRIMA postpaid line is being suspended? No, you will not be able to use your data allowance if your line is being suspended. To continue, you should immediately prompt payment to your current billed usage via the following mode: 1. MYDST Account 2. Internet Banking Channel What will happen to the remaining data allowance if my DST Data Roaming Bundles subscription expires? The remaining data allowance will be forfeited and non refundable, you will be charged at $1/MB if you roam in the selected network. Note: $1/MB data roaming charges will apply if your Data Roaming Bundle allowance has exhausted or the bundle subscription has expired (whichever comes first) if you roam in the selected network. I am a Multi-SIM user. Which SIM will receive the SMS alert for my Data Roaming Bundle status? You will receive the SMS alert on your Primary SIM. If you choose to use the supplementary SIM, please switch on your Primary SIM Mobile device with data roaming turn off, as you will receive SMS alert to your primary SIM. DATA COVERAGE What is the data roaming coverage availability and quality like? There will always be great coverage in "populated" areas i.e. cities and towns but if you are traveling to exceptionally rural or uninhabited areas, we recommend that you to check the available data coverage (3G) of the Mobile Network Operators you intend to roam in from this site Please be reminded that Data Roaming Bundle is intended for international travelers; customers who are on holiday or a business trip abroad. As a data roaming service it is inherently different than domestic country network services, and is not meant for usage over an extensive period abroad, or as a substitute to

4 residential Internet. DST relies on international operator mobile networks availability and quality. Where can I find data roaming coverage map for the Mobile Network Operator of the country I intended to roam? You may look for data coverage (3G or 4G) availability for each Mobile Network Operator you intended to roam into here How does coverage and signal strength affect data speed? In general, the better the data coverage in your Network Mobile Operator area (indicated by more reception bars), the faster the connection speed should be. BILLING AND CHARGES How and when will I be billed? Your subscription to Data Roaming bundle will be billed and reflected immediately upon confirmed purchase in your real time balance. If you have registered to DST online DST Web SelfCare, you may view you bill from here I am a MultiSIM user. How will I be billed and charged? For Multi-SIM user, you will be billed and charged separately for each SIM card in the Primary Accounts. For example: If you use both SIM cards to subscribed Data Roaming Bundle on the same day and incur $15/100MB for each SIM card on Malaysia DiGi, you will be charged $15 per day x 2 = $30 to your Primary Account. DATA USAGE What Can I do with 100MB Data Roaming Bundle? Depends on how you use the Internet. DST Data Roaming Bundle 100MB, provide enough with average data needs such as web browsing, posting messages and picture in the Social Media Network and . If you think this might not be enough, you can always opt to re-purchase your data allowance anytime before it s expiry. Please be reminded, any data usage is amplified when sharing the connection between multiple devices or people, meaning even "normal" activities such as web browsing will consume more data when multiple devices are connected at the same time. It s recommended that you share the above information with anyone who will be sharing the Data Roaming bundle with you! How much data does browsing websites use? A standard web page is likely to download between KB of data. However, Websites with a lot of media content (pictures or videos) such as Facebook may use substantially more data.

5 How much data do s use? A general rule of thumb is that 50MB is usually enough for 250 s. However, any attachments can greatly sway this number. A simple text will only be a few bytes. What contribute rapid data consumption? There are a variety of factors that could contribute to rapid data usage. Downloading or streaming audio / video (e.g. Spotify, Netflix, P2P) use a lot of data quickly; this can easily result in data usage of over 100MB in 15 minutes. For reference, a standard-definition movie is usually around 700MB. In addition, certain programs will consume data in the background without giving any indication of doing so. For example, system updates are usually downloaded and installed automatically without prompt. Backup software (such as icloud, Dropbox and GoogleDrive) will continuously use data throughout the day - in fact most Mac / ios devices come pre-configured with a backup feature always enabled. Other programs such as Mobile Apps and other chat clients will also contribute to data usage if kept on continuously. You should also be wary of clients such as Outlook and Entourage, which constantly download both s and attachments. COMPLAINTS & CUSTOMER SERVICE CONTACT What if the purchased Data Roaming Bundle doesn t work? In the unlikely event that the purchased Data Roaming bundles doesn t work. Please check the followings: 1. Your IDD & Roaming service is active 2. Your PRIMA Postpaid Account is active (not suspended) 3. Your Mobile Device is Data capable and compatible to roam into the selected mobile network operator 4. Data coverage is available in the location of the selected mobile network operator You may Call our DSTCare at from overseas for assistance on your PRIMA Postpaid Line status (Prevailing roaming rates applied). How do I lodge my complaint and dispute on Data Roaming bundle? Any complaint and dispute can be lodged to DSTCare 151 or at any DST branches by providing the required details not later than 3 months after the incident. Whom do I call if I encounter problems while using the international Roaming Service? If you are overseas, Please call our Customer Care at (Prevailing roaming rates applied).
