6 Phone Features To Place a call: Enter phone number Press green button to begin call. or Open Address Book Select Contact to call. You will be prompted if more than one number has been provided for the Contact. Press the red End button to hang up.

8 Check Your Voic Select the Phone icon from the main menu. Click the Menu key and select Call Voic OR Press and hold 1 key. Out of Province Call your cell number (ie ) and then press 7 when your message starts. You will be asked to enter your password and then follow the prompt to go through your messages.

9 Speaker Phone Answer a call by pressing green key. To use speaker phone, press $ To view other applications, press escape Select the app, , calendar, etc. To switch off speaker phone, press $ again. End call by pressing red end key.

10 Muting during a call To mute a call, press top right side of BlackBerry To un-mute, press it again.

How to Lock your BlackBerry Click and hold the letter A On Home Screen, go to Lock icon On top of device, press left hand side Please be aware You have 10 chances to properly enter password. After 10 th incorrect attempt, device will clear personal data and reset Under General Settings, you can set the lock timeout (may be set by company policies for BES users).

13 Owner Information Go to Options wrench from Home screen. Select Owner. (Press letter O ) Enter your contact information. Save your changes. You only need to enter this info once.

14 Moving and Hiding Applications Highlight the application. Press the Menu key. Select Move, then move to new location, then hit trackball/pad OR Select Hide, then trackball/pad Note: You can move to folders etc. To reset Click Menu Click Show All

15 Setting up Custom/Advanced Profile Choose Profile/Sounds Allows you to quickly change notification settings (Loud, Vibrate, Quiet, Normal, Phone Only, Off). Custom/Advanced Scroll to Custom Profiles C or Advanced Profiles A Choose Add Custom Profile Fill in prompts. Choose ringtone for each type of applications (Phone, Message, Text) On most BlackBerry s, Press letter Q to switch between profiles.

17 Contacts Click Contact icon Click Menu to: Adding Contacts New Contact (or type A ) To custom Sort or view, go to Options, General Options To Edit, highlight contact, click menu, choose edit. Tips Always enter Birthdays & Anniversaries can be saved under Edit Contact.

18 Speed Dial List Set up a speed dial for a contact 1. From the Home screen, press the Send key. 2. Press the key> View> Speed Dial List 3. In the Speed dial Numbers list, click an unassigned key. 4. Click a contact. 5. If necessary, click a phone number for the contact.

19 Other Option Settings Auto On/Off Set automatic on and off times for your device. Screen / Keyboard Set the screen font size, backlight timeout, default backlight brightness, key tones, and LED indicator. Bluetooth (such as headset) Go to Manage Connections, Setup Bluetooth (follow directions of Bluetooth device)

21 /Text Messages You can combine all your /sms messages into one view. Click Menu, Options, General Options, Scroll to SMS and Inboxes. Choose Combined. How to Reply R, Forward F, Delete D. Delete all messages prior to date Select the day, click the trackball/pad select Delete Prior. Use the SHIFT key to select multiple messages.
