2. Start-Up 2.1 First Start-Up 1. When you are starting your mobile phone for the first time, an intuitional configuration help is proposed. First, select your preferred language and type the default PIN code of your SIM card. We recommend starting by personalizing your mobile phone with your Google TM account or by creating a new account for free if you do not already possess an existing one. Connecting your Google account to your mobile phone allows you to utilize your device to the fullest extent including all functions and services as for example synchronizing and backing-up your Gmail TM information (Mails, contacts, agenda, documents), accessing Google Maps TM, Google Play TM. Entrez le code PIN à 4 chiffres Validez Enter your Gmail address and your password.
2. In order to create a Google account, you simply have to follow process shown as described below: Enter your Gmail address and your password. Please note, that you also have the possibility to create the Google account afterwards. Ensure to be connected to a data or Wi-Fi connection to create a new Google account. Enter your name, your Gmail address and your password, accept the terms of use.
Advice : By setting the option Back up your phone s apps... your data is backed up at your Google Account which allows you to access your configurations any time at your Google account and to transfer the data to any other Android TM device. In order to download applications from Google Play which are not free of charge, you need to add a credit card. This step can be executed afterwards.
2.2 Presentation and personalization of the home screen 1. Your phone has a home screen on which you can install your applications and/or widgets. You have also the possibility to add new screens by sweeping an application or a widget from the last screen available to the right border. 2. The menu key which is located at the center bottom gives you direct access to all applications and widgets as shown below: Applications installed on the home screen Allows access to all applications Pressing and holding on an icon for longer allows you to create an application s shortcut on the home screen.
3. In order to modify the position of your applications or widgets on the home screen, you have to tap the symbol of the application or widget and hold on It for a little while, than you can make it move to the desired position; If you wish to delete the application from the home screen, you have to tap and hold on the application/widget for a little while and sweep it to the top where Remove is going to appear. 4. All notifications of your mobile phone (missed calls, voice mail, , SMS, USB connection, ) are shown in the notification bar on the top of the screen. On the home screen, touch and hold the notification bar until you can pull-down the notification bar, and then pull-down vertically. By clicking on one notification you can access the details as shown below: Notification bar. Tap with your finger on the item and hold it a little while in order to shift its position. Tap and hold the application, than drag it to the top in order to delete it.
5. You have the possibility to modify easily your wallpaper and to add some widgets by pressing and holding the home screen until the pop-up window below appears : Choose a wallpaper from the wallpapers which are already saved by default on your device or choose one of your images which you can find in Gallery. Choose a widget from the list and place it on one of the home screens thanks to a long press. 2.3 P e r s o n a l i z a t i o n o f t h e d i f f e r e n t s e t t i n g s (audio, display, date & time) 1.
