Chapter Presentation on 7-Aug-2014 Your chapter conducted an interactive session on ISO The world s first ISO Standard on Business Continuity. To conduct this presentation, we invited renowned industry specialist Mr.MuhammadGhazali A. Wasti MBCI. The event was held in the KASBIT Karachi. It was a Free Event for chapter members and offered 2 CPE Hrs. A large number of audiences which included ISACA Karachi Chapter Members and IT Expert / professionals from leading organization attended the event. CRISC Job Practice The CRISC job practice will be changing with the June 2015 CRISC exam. The December 2014 exam will be the last exam using the current CRISC job practice areas. Individuals who have been studying from the current job practice should be encouraged to sit for the December 2014 exam. Details regarding the new job practice will be posted to the ISACA web site soon. September Exam Admission Tickets Exam admission tickets for the September CISA and CISM exams have been sent via to fully paid exam candidates. Exam candidates can also download a copy of the admission ticket on the MyISACA page of the ISACA web site. Candidates who have not received their exam ticket or are unable to download it should contact exam@isaca.orgor immediately Exam Passers Alert Exam passers have 5 years to apply for certification once they have passed an exam. All certification requirements are to be met within these 5 years. The 5-year period to apply for certification for those who passed the exam in 2009 will end on 31 December Exam passers are not certified and cannot use the CISA, CISM, CGEIT or CRISC designation until their completed application is received and approved by ISACA. Certification renewals Certification renewals for the 2015 year are expected to open in late September. For further queries contact: certification@isaca.org ISACA International News & Alerts Board Nominations Are Open Nominations for the ISACA Board of Directors for the term are now open. Information about serving on the board, the attributes for office (both international president and vice president) and the nomination form itself are available on the Board Nominations page of the ISACA web site. All nominations will be acknowledged, and all candidates will be required to complete a candidate profile form, which confirms the candidate s willingness to serve if selected and provides the Nominating Committee information about the candidate. Selfnominating candidates will also be asked to submit a letter of recommendation from an ISACA member, outlining how the candidate demonstrates the attributes of office. Information on candidates will be gathered in other ways as well, including a review of public web sites (e.g., Google, Facebook, LinkedIn) and interviews with the candidates. Nominations for international president close at 5:00 p.m. CDT (UTC -5 hours) on 14 October 2014; nominations for vice president close at 5:00 p.m. CST (UTC -6 hours) on 6 January These are the dates by which all materials must be received at ISACA International Headquarters (i.e., completed candidate profile form and letter of recommendation, if required).
