9 Level 3 Diploma in Business Level 3 Diploma in Business is a 60-credit Equal regulated qualification and is the equivalent level to an A Level or Access to HE qualification. It has been designed for learners who wish to progress to a business or management degree but may not have the traditional entry qualifications usually required. We also offer a larger, 120-credit qualification in Business and Management at this level. Units How Businesses Operate The key features of an organisation and their importance are explored, including finance, leadership, HR, marketing, managing data and customer service Academic and Research Skills for Business This unit is for understanding one s own academic strengths and weaknesses and developing research papers using a variety of skills. Marketing Principles and Techniques An introduction to marketing is provided, followed by a look at research, analysis and promotional techniques. Communication Skills for Business A look at how communication is used in business and how one s own communication skills can be developed to effectively present information and ideas. Progression Routes Learners who complete this qualification can progress to study a variety of bachelor s degrees at a university such as one of our partner universities. 10 Level 4 Extended Diploma in Management Level 4 Extended Diploma in Management is a 120-credit of equal regulated qualification and is the equivalent level to the first year of a bachelor s degree. This qualification has been designed for learners who are seeking to progress to higher education to enter the second year of a bachelor s degree in an area of management and aims to develop learners understanding of management and to develop key management skills. As well as the Extended Diploma option (120 credit) there is a Diploma option (60 credit) and a Certificate option (30 credit). Units There are three different sized qualifications. If you study the 120-credit extended diploma then you must study all 4 mandatory units and pick 4 optional units. If you study the 60-credit diploma then you must study all 3 mandatory units and 1 optional unit. 12 Level 5 Extended Diploma in Management Level 5 Extended Diploma in Management was developed with support and feedback from UK universities. It is a 120-credit Of equal regulated qualification and is the equivalent size and level to the second year of a bachelor s degree. This qualification has been designed for learners who are seeking to progress to take the final year of a bachelor s degree course in an area of management and aims to develop learners understanding of management and to develop key management skills. As well as the Extended Diploma option (120 credit) there is a Diploma option (60 credit) and a Certificate option (30 credit). 20 The TQUK Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF) is suitable for learners working in a wide range of roles in a health and social care setting. The qualification develops competence therefore learners must be in paid or voluntary work to enable assessment to take place. It forms the competence component of the Intermediate Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care. The qualification consists of mandatory units, which introduce a range of topics including role of the health and social care worker, communication, personal development, equality and inclusion, duty of care, safeguarding, health and safety, information handling and person centred working. Learners can then select one of three pathways so that the qualification is tailored to meet the needs of their job role/work setting. The purpose of the qualification is to support a role in the workplace and to enable learners to progress to a higher level qualification in the same subject area. This qualification is for learners working or looking to further their career in health and social care. This qualification will develop skills and knowledge relating to person centred approaches to care, communication and personal development. It forms part of the intermediate apprenticeship in Health and Social Care. Qualification Number: 601/3750/2 Min Guided Learning Hours: 319 Successful learners can complete the apprenticeship framework or progress to other qualifications such as the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF) and to the advanced apprenticeship. The level 2 and level 3 diplomas share some units therefore credit transfer is available. Entry Requirements There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of Level one in literacy and numeracy or equivalent. The qualification is suitable for learners of 16 years of age and above. Learners must achieve a minimum of 46 credits: 24 credits from the Mandatory Unit Group (M) and a minimum of 22 credits from one of the pathways. 21 Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care The ATHE Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care is a 60-credit qualification and is the equivalent level to an A Level or Access to HE qualification. Academic and Research Skills for Health and Social Care To develop academic and research skills and the language skills needed to be able to formally present academic research, both in writing and orally. A Person-Centred Approach to Health and Social Care To develop an understanding of the importance of a person-centred approach in the health and social care sector and how it is applied in practice in different health and social care settings. 27 Level 7 Diploma in Healthcare Management The ATHE level 7 qualifications in healthcare management provide strategic management skills for those planning to, or working in the healthcare sector both internationally and in the UK, including additional units that are specifically targeted at those working in the public sector. We encourage centres to combine the study of qualifications with a work placement relevant to the unit the learners are studying The Level 2 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence The Level 2 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence may be suitable for learners who are working towards or recently appointed in job roles such as systems analyst, system support technician, web designer or software developer. It is recommended, though not essential, that you already have a basic knowledge and understanding of ICT and wish to use the qualifications to develop and confirm your knowledge and skills.
