5 CYBER SECURITY The Cyber Security Career Studies Certificate program is designed to provide students with the skills to recognize and prevent threats to information and information systems and to master techniques for defense against such threats. Security models, intrusion detection, incident handling, firewalls, perimeter protection, and network security law issues are covered in the course work. 27 VIRTUALIZATION The Career Studies Certificate in Virtualization prepares students to install, deploy, configure, manage, secure, and analyze a VMware virtual infrastructure in a networked environment. Graduates may seek employment as server administrators, monitoring operators, local area network administrators, enterprise systems administrators, IT systems administrators, or systems architects, along with a growing field of VMware specialists.
