What makes a certification program different from a live or on-demand course in VAX? Unlike live webinars and on-demand courses that offer individual topics without further integration, certificate programs provide several topics or modules and are logically sequenced. After completion, certification programs enable you to integrate and apply what you have learned. Certificate programs use blended learning approaches - that is, using several delivery vehicles throughout the program such as video, audio, course documents and other interactions. Attractive attendance incentives may be provided and will vary depending on the training provider. Why should I participate in a certification program? Your customers will recognize you as an expert in travel when you display your specialist or certification title. 4 4 How do I get through the material? Details about a certification program are outlined on the certification program s description page. Each description page contains a summary of the program, graduation benefits, program modules, program materials, approximate length, and BEGIN button. Content is arranged into logical and convenient modules so they move along quickly and are easy to view in sections (as opposed to viewing the entire program in a single sitting). Modules are linked so you may continue from one module to the next. Modules may also be accessed individually by clicking on the module links located under the Program Modules section of the program description page. How will I know I received credit for completing each course in the program? After completing each module within a program, you ll receive a course transcript via . This will serve as proof of module completion. Be sure to enter your name and in the course window when prompted at the beginning of the module to receive your transcript . Do I have to complete each module in the order it appears? Although the course is designed to progress logically from the beginning to the end, it is also possible to pick items from anywhere in the list. Keep in mind that the quizzes and tests are based on the contents of their respective modules, so skipping around too much can make it more difficult to remember the quiz answers. How do the quizzes work? Depending upon the program, you may notice periodic "quizzes" at various places throughout the course or at the end of each module. These quizzes provide an opportunity for you to check what you have learned. How much does it cost to take the course? All courses and certification programs on VAX are free! What do I get when I finish the course? Students who demonstrate proficiency and achieve a passing score will become certified and receive a printed certificate. Successful students will receive a course transcript report verifying completion of the certification course from VAX via the you provided in the course. How do I take the certification quiz? To access the Certification Tests, you must complete the program curriculum defined in the program description found on the VAX University page. What if I don't pass the final quiz? You can always retake the test, but keep in mind that it is an "open-book" test with no time limit, so take your time when testing and feel free to re-take if needed. How long does the course take to complete? Each program will vary depending upon the requirement of the supplier. The estimated time required will be displayed in the program description. Your time may vary from the estimate depending on your style of studying. Do I have to take the whole program in one sitting or can I quit and resume? You don t have to take it all at one time. You may complete it in sections as desired. You can log back in anytime and complete the coursework. The program will not remember where you left off, so you ll want to take note of where you stop. If you stop in the middle of a module, just remember where you left off; then when you resume the module, click the title in the Table of Contents to jump to the place you stopped.

6 6 Can I end the quiz prior to finishing and return later to finish and still receive credit? Once you begin a quiz or test, you cannot exit before completion or you will have to retake the quiz or test to completion for credit. The certification test is "open book" and you may retake it if you do not get a passing grade the first time. Important: You must maintain an internet connection during the quiz or test to receive credit. How do I get a certificate of completion? A certificate of completion for an entire program is available at the conclusion of the final module within the series. All quizzes must be successfully passed to gain certification. After successfully completing the final quiz, follow the prompts to preview then print your certificate. Before printing, set your printer properties to print landscape and in color. I didn t print my certificate of completion/i couldn t print my certificate of completion; can you send me a copy? Each certificate of completion is auto-generated by the system when you enter your learner information into the quiz. VAX University does not receive a copy of your certificate of completion. If you d like to generate another copy of your certificate, you must re-enter your answers into the final quiz and then follow the prompts to print your certificate. Must I complete the VAX orientation program before gaining full access to all areas within VAX? No. We strongly recommend that new agents participate in the orientation to learn how to use VAX, but it is not a requirement.
