Cluster Configuration Consistency Status The Cluster Summary view contains status information that details Cluster Configuration Consistency. SCVMM Logical Switch compliance is the rollup of the compliance status reported by all v-switches on the system. A v-switch can become non-compliant when the v-switch s configuration is changed using Hyper-V manager directly instead of modifying the logical switch associated with the v-switch. Reference Host Logical Switch Consistency compares logical switch based v-switch connections between the reference node and other nodes in the cluster to ensure consistent connectivity. This is clickable for more information. Reference Host Logical Switch Consistency will always report OK for the reference node and will not be clickable. Cluster Status reports the roll-up status of: SCVMM logical switch compliance Reference Host Logical Switch Consistency Server Profile Template Consistency Clicking the Reference Host Logical Switch Consistency hyperlink brings up the Cluster Node Configuration Consistency Status screen that reports the status against reference node. Actions 55

This dialog shows a report detailing the consistency of logical switch based v-switch connections between the selected reference node and the cluster node. Each OneView-based downlink port on the reference node is compared to the cluster node to ensure that the logical switch configuration is consistent. Only logical switch connections are compared. Downlinks connected to external switches (standard switches) or configured as IP adapters are not taken into account. In the screen shot above, you can see that downlink port 'Flb 1:2-a' is not consistent with the reference node because it is connected to a different logical switch and uplink port ('Tenant Logical Switch' and 'Tenant port profile_xxx'). Downlink port 'Flb 1:2-c is inconsistent because the cluster node either does not have a connection, the connection is configured as an IP adapter, or is configured with an external switch. 92 Expand Cluster Wizard The HPE Expand Cluster Wizard enables expanding existing clusters by provisioning new systems that clone the network connections of the selected reference node. The Expand Cluster Wizard uses the network configuration and OneView server profile of the reference node to bare-metal provision one or more systems with the appropriate operating system and configuration to enable nodes to be added to the cluster. The Expand Cluster Wizard is an action available in Cluster Summary view. The Expand Cluster wizard will be disabled, if the account used to connect to the Virtual Machine Manager Server is not a local or domain administrator account. The button will also be disabled if the configured OneView account used does not have either the "Infrastructure administrator" or "Server administrator" role. IMPORTANT: Expand Cluster requires that all the nodes in a cluster are OneView managed and supported servers. See, Supported target servers (for deployment) on page 8 for the list of supported servers for deployment. If the cluster contains nodes that are not supported or not managed by OneView, the Expand Cluster action is disabled. Using the Expand Cluster Wizard The reference node is used during cluster expansion to clone network configurations to ensure that all nodes in the cluster have consistent network connectivity. 1. On the Cluster Summary view, right-click on the cluster node and click Set as reference node.this is the node the cluster expansion operation will use to clone network connections for subsequent deployed nodes. 2. Once the reference node is set, select Expand Cluster from the Action menu. 92 Expand Cluster Wizard

IMPORTANT: Only OneView Advanced license blades are supported. The Expand Cluster Wizard requires an existing cluster in order to add cluster nodes. Expand Cluster Action is enabled only when any one node in the cluster is set as a reference node. Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends that the Reference Node Cluster Consistency should be OK before expanding the cluster. The cluster configuration consistency report gives SCVMM logical switch and host compliance status compared to the reference node. If reference node server profile is associated with Server Profile Template, then Server Profile Template Consistency will be displayed. To make cluster node configuration consistent, ensure that you are using same Server Profile Template for all nodes in the cluster. 3. Once the SCVMM physical computer profile is chosen, select the Servers. Expand Cluster Wizard 93

IMPORTANT: You must select the same or compatible SCVMM physical computer profile that is being used in the reference node. The Expand Cluster Wizard uses the OneView server profile from the reference node and automatically lists all compatible systems for deployment. HPE Fabric network settings are automatically matched using the reference node, however you may also modify settings by dragging and dropping selected items if required in the Customize system fabric settings wizard screen. The network adapters defined in the selected SCVMM physical computer profile will not be used. The network adapters configured in the reference node will be used instead. All other settings in the SCVMM physical computer profile will be used when deploying to the selected systems. Ensure that no network adapter is connected to a standard switch (external switch) on the reference node. The Expand Cluster deployment will fail if the reference node has standard switch connections, which is an unsupported scenario. The Cluster Node Configuration Consistency Status report gives errors on such connections, Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends resolving all consistency errors before expanding the cluster. If the reference node has standard vswitches configured, then the expand cluster wizard considers those adapters as DHCP physical connections. You must manually create standard vswitches after the deployment, if needed. If reference node server profile is associated with server profile template, which is not compliant with the associated server profile template, then clicking on expand cluster action returns an error. 4. Click Next. 5. The next screen allows you to confirm your server profile connections in relation to the appropriate SCVMM physical computer profile Logical Switch or Logical Network. The settings should match the configuration of the reference node. In most cases, these connections should not be changed to ensure the nodes where the settings are being deployed have a network configuration that matches the reference node. If a change is required, the network adapters can be rearranged by dragging and dropping the adapter onto the appropriate connection. 94 Expand Cluster Wizard

6. Cick Next. 7. On the Deployment Customization screen, specify the required options, and then click Next. If the cluster reference node uses Static IP addresses, manually enter them here. Expand Cluster Wizard 95

8. Click Next. The confirmation screen appears which shows you all of the selections you have made. 9. Click Deploy and the Wizard will deploy the system to the host group that is the parent of the cluster. IMPORTANT: Profile support Once system deployment is complete, drag and drop systems on cluster or use SCVMM's Add Cluster Node wizard to add nodes to cluster.
