1 CPA PEP Schedule and Fees The CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP) is a graduatelevel program. CPA PEP comprises a series of modules that focus primarily on enhancing CPA candidates ability to apply knowledge, values, ethics and attitudes in a professional context. The program will take candidates two years to complete on a parttime basis as they work at relevant employment. Each PEP module ends in an examination, and candidates must pass each module examination to proceed to the next module. All inperson module workshops are held in Barbados. Core 1 and 2: Core modules 1 and 2 cover the six technical competencies Financial Reporting, Strategy and Governance, Accounting, Audit and Assurance, Finance and Taxation. Elective modules 3 and 4: Candidates choose two of four available elective modules to develop deeper skills in their areas of career interest. The four options are:, Taxation, Audit & Assurance and Finance. Those wishing to be licensed to practice public accounting must select Assurance if they wish to practice outside of Canada. The Taxation elective is not offered in the Caribbean. Capstone modules 5 and 6: All Candidates must take the two final modules a Capstone integrative module and a Capstone examination preparation module. The Capstone integrative module focuses on the development of the enabling competencies such as leadership and professional skills and the integration of core competencies. The integration module also includes a teambased evaluation. The Capstone examination preparation module prepares CPA Candidates for the Common Final ination (CFE). Common Final ination (CFE): The CFE is a summative final examination that evaluates candidates on the competencies defined by the Competency Map. Candidates must demonstrate Breadth in all six core competency areas and must also demonstrate Depth in two core competency areas. The Depth must be in Financial Reporting or Accounting, plus one from the other core competency areas. Note: The availability of workshops in the Caribbean is subject to change due to enrollment numbers.
