28 New leadership qualification Developed by IIA Global with the Chartered IIA Chartered members can complete a presentation and panel interview task to earn the QIAL Five years relevant experience required at completion

29 Arrangements for existing students

30 Three-year transition period Existing students have three years to complete their current qualification Switch over to a new qualification with credit for modules completed, at any time PIIAs and CMIIAs can accept CIA and use both designations CIA will usually be required to take the case study exams leading to chartered status PIIAs advised to accept it
