32 Obtaining State Licensure 32
33 State Licensing vs. Certification NCCAOM exams and certification confirm you are competent to practice. NCCAOM Certification does not give you the legal right to practice. The acupuncture board gives you the legal right to practice in your state. State requirements vary! Check your state acupuncture board for specific licensure requirements. NCCAOM exam results can be submitted directly to your state. Submit an NCCAOM Exam Results and Certification Verification Form. For information regarding your state licensing requirements, see the NCCAOM state licensure table on the Regulatory Affairs page at 33
