1 IP Office - Job Aid Network Configurations with VM Pro & CCC Summary This document looks at setting up network configurations with Voic Pro as a centralised voic and multiple voic systems and the feature availabilities with each set up. This document is meant to be used in conjunction with other documentations listed in the Related Document section. 078 Issue 1 (30 th January 2004)

2 Network Configurations There are two network configurations available for utilizing Voic Pro services with multiple IP Office systems: Centralised Voic Pro One Voic Pro server on a central IP Office system is used to provide voic services for remote IP Office systems. A Voic Pro server is set up on a central IP Office system and another Voic Pro server is set up on a remote system. Depending on which network configuration you choose, varying IP Office features will be available. These available features are outlined in the respective sections within this document. Figure 1.0 is a sample network configuration showing a centralised Voic Pro with a Small Community Network. Figure 1.0: Centralised Voic Pro The Voic Pro server on a central IP Office system can be used to provide voic services for remote IP Office systems. This is called Centralized Voic Pro. Centralised Voic Pro requires Small Community Networking. For instructions on enabling Small Community Networking, refer to the following documentation IP Office Job Aid 019: Small Community Networking. On a Centralised Voic Pro system, there can be up to 16 remote sites with a maximum total of 500 users and a mailbox created for every hunt group. Note: Centralised Voic Pro is not supported if Small Community Networking is not enabled. VM Pro & CCC Page 3

4 Centralised Voic Pro with a Small Community Network. Supported Features Not all IP Office features are available on the remote IP Office systems. The table below details the currently supported features. 5 Figure 1.1 shows a sample multiple Voic Pro network configuration across a WAN, LAN or the Internet. Figure 1.1: A Voic Pro server, not employing Small Community Networking, can be installed on all IP Office systems (both central and remote systems). The extension, group names, all names and numbers (groups, lines, services etc.) on all systems must be unique. VPIM could then be utilised as a connection method between the two Voic Pro systems. 6 Supported Features Not all IP Office features are available on the remote IP Office systems. The table below details the currently supported features.
