6 1. Connecting the Router Power off your PC(s), Cable DSL modem, and the router. Locate an optimum location for the router. The best place is usually near the center of the area in which your PC(s) will wirelessly connect Adjust the direction of the antenna. Normally, upright is a good direction. Connect the DSL Cable Modem/Ethernet to the WAN port on the router, shown in the following figure Connect the power adapter to the power socket on the router and the other end into an electrical outlet. Press the power ON switch, then the router will start to work automatically. Power on your PC(s) and Cable/DSL modem if connected 6

7 Configuring the Router via Web based Quick Configuration 2. Accessing router To access the user interface, open a web-browser and type in the default IP address in the address field of the browser Click on Start button to configure the router 7

8 In next step router will detect the type of Internet connection to configure. If you see above picture on your screen, it shows your WAN port is unplug, you have to plug the WAN port with your Internet connection to configure router. If you want to skip Internet settings click on skip and proceed with Wireless setting. 8

9 Default SSID is iball-baton (2.4 GHz) you can change it as per your requirement to connect router over wireless iball-baton-5g is the default SSID for 5 GHZ frequency 3. Internet connection type Router can be configured with PPPoE, Dynamic IP and Static IP connection type of Internet. Confirm the ISP setting and select the specific connection type and click Next to go on configuring. 9

10 If the connection type detected is PPPoE, the next screen will appear as shown below. Enter the User Name and Password provided by your ISP, and then click Save If the connection type detected is Dynamic IP, the router will automatically get IP parameter from your ISP without entering any parameters. 10

11 In-case your ISP have provided Static IP settings, configure the IP address details for Static IP connection type mode. You can configure the wireless settings from the next menu SSID and Wireless Security for 2.4GHz wireless connection and admin password to login in to the router Good password to be assign for better security. 11

12 After all setting done click on Next button you will see image as below, click on advance button to configure advanced setting of the router. 4. WPS Settings WPS {Wi-Fi Protected Setup) function allows you to add a new wireless device to an existing network quickly. Wi-Fi Protected Setup - Automatically establishing WPA2 secure wireless connection. WPS Method: PBC Method (Push Button Configuration) 12

13 PBC: Click this software button or directly press the hardware WPS button on both your router and the new wireless client device (that you want to connect to your router wirelessly) for 2 second to establish an easy and secure wireless connection. 13
