About IPNV IPNetVoice offers small to mid sized businesses all of the benefits of Unified Communications (UC) that until recently were only available to large enterprises, and at affordable rates and significant cost savings. Established in 1998, IPNetVoice has continually been immersed in the technologies that are driving today s rapid acceptance of IP based communications and networking. Unified Communications is the seamless integration of all means and applications of communication, regardless of platform or device utilizing ethernet connectivity, and possibly the internet instead of point to point traditional copper wired telephone systems. This includes, but is not limited to all aspects of telephony and voice mail, messaging (both real-time instant messaging and nonreal-time ), collaboration, FAX, mobile devices, tablets and desktops, all with voice, video and data capabilities depending on the device. It is an all-encompassing communications system that fully integrated, and is not device or network dependent. IPNetVoice utilizes industry-leading Cisco products at its core. Cisco offers the broadest range of customized integration options, without the need for investment in costly hardware

IPNetVoice started out as a training company specializing in Cisco and Microsoft communications systems, but quickly added IP telephony consulting to their offerings. Recent additions to IPNetVoice training programs have included Cisco Wireless, Cisco MeetingPlace, and Cisco Unified Communications. Recognizing a need for a Unified Communications solution for small to mid-sized businesses, IPNetVoice now offers an essentially out of the box option with their IPNV Hosted Unified Communications Solution. The hosted or Cloud-based option now makes these advanced technologies available to small businesses at significant cost reductions. IPNetVoice utilizes industry leading Cisco products at its core. Cisco offers the broadest range of customized integration options, without the need for investment in costly hardware. With offices in Peru, New York and Colchester, Vermont, IPNetVoice presently has customers and users across the United States. Configurations vary from large single campuses to multi-site / multi-state networks, and users involved in Manufacturing, Financial Services and Education. Recognizing a need for a Unified Communications solution for small to mid-sized businesses, IPNetVoice now offers an essentially out of the box option with their IPNV Hosted Unified Communications Solution

About Unified Communications (UC) Overview Introduction Wikipedia defines Unified Communication (UC) as the integration of real-time communication services such as instant messaging (chat), presence information, telephony (including IP telephony), video conferencing, data sharing (including web connected electronic whiteboards aka IWB's or Interactive White Boards), call control and speech recognition with non-real-time communication services such as unified messaging (integrated voic , , SMS and fax). UC is not necessarily a single product, but a set of products that provides a consistent unified user interface and user experience across multiple devices and media types. Perhaps more simply stated, UC is the seamless integration of all means and applications of communication, regardless of platform or device utilizing Ethernet connectivity, and possibly the Internet instead of point to point traditional copper wired telephone systems. This includes, but is not limited to all aspects of telephony and voice mail, messaging (both real-time instant messaging and non-real-time ), collaboration, FAX, mobile devices, tablets and desktops, all with voice, video and data capabilities depending on the device. It is an all-encompassing communications system that fully integrated, and is not device or network dependent. User s Perspective From the User s perspective, there are three factors influencing and facilitating their communication needs: a. What: Mode of communication: Voice, messaging, , conferencing, video etc. b. Where: Participant Location(s): Point-to-point communication to/from/between Office, home, automobile, hotel etc. c. How: Device dependencies: Traditional Telephone handset, desktop, smartphone, tablet etc. To the user, device dependent communication becomes virtually a thing of the past. In a managed UC network, applications are distributed across the entire network seamlessly. Functionality is now only dependent on the applications that have been installed and integrated. Mobility With the development of 3G and 4G networks as well as Wifi Hotspots and the rapid proliferation of smart phones and tablets, the mobility capabilities of a UC network have expanded exponentially. Access to networks through 3G/4G or WiFi has turned the small hand-held devices into mobile offices. Along with the benefits here, there is a point of caution. Public broadcasting of information & data over unsecured public hotspots can create data security issues. Managed UC environments need to keep all mobile devices inside the firewall, through the use of easy to access and utilize VPN (Virtual Private Network) technology. Off-Line Communications Off-line or non-real-time communications include , voic and video mail. This includes messaging that is sent to be read at some time in the future. This is a more traditional form of communication that needs little explanation. The upside to this in a UC network is the consolidation of enterprise-wide contact lists or address books

Overview (continued) Video Communications Video calls and conferencing are no longer tethered to a desktop application. Mixed-Mode Communications This refers to the What under the user s perspective above. Mixed-Mode allows for seamless communication migration across devices. For example, a call initiated on a mobile device can automatically shift to your enterprise Wifi as you enter your office building, and then easily transferred to your video-telephone or desktop computer when you arrive at your desk. This process will just as easily apply in reverse, as you leave one location for another. Implementation/Administration With a hosted UC solution, implementation and administrative process are centralized. Application updates and deployments occur centrally, and no longer require a manual process to be repeated for every device, workstation etc. throughout the enterprise. This minimizes the required time for administration, as well as minimizing the chance of error with duplicated administrative processes. This translates into a significant cost savings in time over the traditional distributed networks. A hosted solution is by far the most efficient method of application deployment. No longer is an enterprise restricted by waiting for enterprise-wide technology upgrades prior to deployment. With a hosted solution, applications can be deployed to any, all or select groups within an enterprise. When pushed to the cloud, users to select and switch between applications at their leisure. Budget Efficiency A hosted solution provides many budgetary advantages over Customer Premises Equipment (CPE)- based solutions in several areas. Cost of Entry (COE), Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), budgetary concerns and IT overhead are all significantly lower or reduced when a hosted soluon is implemented. Hosted solutions have no (or minimal) capital requirements virtually eliminating the COE (equipment and IT resources) and dramatically reducing TCO through minimized capital investment and IT efficiencies. Migration to a hosted solution can start immediately, without the need to capital budgeting and the allocation of scarce resources. This also facilitates the budgetary process and planning in an on-going capacity. Budgetary questions and concerns are minimized since hosted solutions utilize a subscription-based model, essentially eliminating unforeseen costs arising from CPE failures, downtime and subsequent IT costs. Predictability and consistency are a hosted solution s hallmark. Finally, hosted solutions reduce IT overhead in time and staffing requirements. Many repetitive tasks are eliminated, and many those that remain can be re-assigned, maximizing IT efficiencies for strategic tasks.

Overview (continued) Conclusion A hosted Unified Communication Solution is here to stay, and will only become more flexible as your requirements demand. With the rapid expansion of broadband networks, and an increasingly mobile workforce, a managed UC solution is the only solution that will provide the flexibility and efficiency that is being demanded in today s business environment. Depending on the requirements of your enterprise, an on-site UC solution, a hosted, cloud-based solution or a combination of both will meet or exceed your expectations. Reduced costs, increased efficiencies and infinite flexibility are difficult arguments to refute when considering a managed UC solution over a traditional CPE-based system. One final point worth noting, if you are considering construction of new plant & facilities, there will be no need for traditional copper telephone wiring: all that is needed is network connectivity, either hard-wired of WiFi. These savings are significant.

Unified Communications/Telecom Services Simply stated, UC is the seamless integration of all means of communication, regardless of platform or device, utilizing Ethernet connectivity, and possibly the Internet. Unified Communications (UC) Products Are you considering a Unified Communications Solution? Managed UC Refers to a UC solution managed and administered by IPNV. Company purchases and hosts all equipment on-site Requires up-front investment in hardware and setup fees Lower monthly fixed management fees. Customer retains ownership of the equipment and is responsible for all hardware and software including any manufacturer maintenance fees. IPNetVoice provides full system support and maintenance, including installation of upgrades/updates, that have been purchased. Cloud UC Hosted and Managed UC solution that is cloud-based, residing on IPNV servers. Minimal hardware investment alternative: IPNetVoice retains ownership of all phone related equipment (servers, phones, voice gateways). Little up-front investment, only minimal setup fees. Fixed fee /per user IPNetVoice responsible for all hardware and software, including manufacturer maintenance fees. IPNetVoice provides full system support and maintenance, including all upgrades/updates. These will be implemented on a scheduled basis. Expand your Communications Capabilities Reduce Costs No Barriers to Entry Minimal (or no) Capital Investment Consider a Hosted UC Solution! Reduce overhead, and increase productivity! Hybrid UC Customer-defined combination (customized) of both elements of Managed and Hosted UC solutions

Products (continued) (Unified Communications/Telecom Services continued) SIP Trunking The Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is a signaling protocol widely used for controlling communication sessions such as voice and video calls over Internet Protocol (IP). The protocol can be used for creating, modifying and terminating two-party (unicast) or multi-party (multicast) sessions. Sessions may consist of one or several media streams. Providing low fixed cost PSTN 1 access over the Internet Local and Long Distance (Continental US and Canada) included in monthly fee. Low international rates Low toll free rates Provides access to Session Initiation Protocol managed communications capabilities. Voice and Data QoS Quality of Service : Management of Bandwidth usage and availability for optimal performance of all (or specific) demands placed on existing bandwidth. Text, VoIP, Video, Audio and browsing all place significantly different demands on bandwidth, and depending on the organization, their priorities will be different. QoS is customized for each customer as needed. For example, text comes first, but if your QoS is structured to favor voice (VoIP), your voice reception would be great, and depending on your bandwidth, other media types might suffer. IPNetVoice will manage your bandwidth allocation needs in order to Optimize your communications capabilities. QoS becomes more critical as your organization s needs evolve. Ask about IPNV s monitoring and managed services. 1. The public switched telephone network (PSTN) is the network of the world's public circuit-switched telephone networks. It consists of telephone lines, fiber optic cables, microwave transmission links, cellular networks, communications satellites, and undersea telephone cables, all inter-connected by switching centers, thus allowing any telephone in the world to communicate with any other. Originally a network of fixed-line analog telephone systems, the PSTN is now almost entirely digital in its core and includes mobile as well as fixed telephones. (Wikipedia)

MSP (Managed Service Provider) IPNetVoice s Managed Services Provider Offering A managed services provider (MSP), IPNetVoice is most often an information technology (IT) and telecommunication services provider that manages and assumes responsibility for providing a defined set of services to its clients either proactively or as the MSP (not the client) determines that services are needed. Most MSPs bill an upfront setup or transaction fee and an ongoing flat or near-fixed monthly fee, which benefits clients by providing them with predictable IT support costs. As small and medium business organizations face significant challenges in scaling and managing their Information Technology infrastructure while effectively reducing costs, it becomes much more cost effective to gain access to best in class tool sets, hardware, software and even niche technology experts by only paying for what they use by using managed service providers. Many studies have shown a reduction in IT hardware and software expenses using MSPs. IPNetVoice has a proven track record as a MSP. Sometimes, MSPs are contracted to manage multiple staffing vendors and to measure their effectiveness in filling positions according to a customer s standards and requirements. In effect, the MSP serves as a neutral party that offers the customer a complete workforce solution while ensuring efficient operation and leveraging multiple staffing companies to obtain competitive rates. IPNetVoice also offers consulting to evaluate the current infrastructure and future direction of the SMB market in New England. Most SMB can t afford IT staff or have one or two people running IT/ Telecom with little or no training. The MSP model has proven its usefulness in the SMB sector, notably among manufacturing, service companies, financial and healthcare institutions and higher education. MSPs often use specialized software, in order to control and deploy managed services to their customers known as Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) software. IPNetVoice offers a remote managed services that is effective and affordable.

Benefits of VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) VDI is the practice of hosting workstation operating systems and applications on a server. Users can access the virtualized operating systems and applications from thin clients, terminals, workstations, tablets, smart phones, etc., as long as the devices can connect to the host server. Because the operating systems and applications are virtualized they can be accessed by devices running on different operating systems such as Android, Linux, Windows, etc. It is like a spider in which one brain controls 6 or more limbs, one data center or server for all the workstations. VDI benefits Quick and easy workstation provisioning: Once your organization s IT team has created a virtualized workstation with an operating system, applications, and security configurations, the virtualized workstation can be used as a template that can be reproduced any time a user needs a new workstation. Copying a template to create workstations as needed can save time and allow users to be productive instead of waiting around for your IT staff to build a computer, install software, and patches. Centralized patch management: Patch management is always an IT nightmare. While some programs like Microsoft Windows and antivirus can be configured on individual workstations to auto-update, other applications like Java have to be manually downloaded and installed. With a VDI solution, because all machines are hosted on one server, it is easy for your organization s IT staff to ensure that all patches are updated in a timely manner. Standardized security configurations: Because new security threats are discovered every day, your organization s IT staff likely spends a lot of time updating security patches and maintaining standardized security settings on individual workstations. With a VDI solution, the IT staff can quickly update security patches to all virtualized workstations and ensure that security settings are standardized on all virtualized workstations. Secured data: With a VDI solution, sensitive data is secure because all workstations are virtualized and hosted on servers or hosted data centers. Sensitive data can be created and worked with from numerous computing devices, but it will never reside on the device since the host server houses the virtualized workstation and provides the operating system, applications, data, and processing power. In the event that one of your organization s laptops, tablets, or smartphones is lost or stolen, your organization won t have to worry about data exposure because the data is not stored on the devices. Access virtualized workstations from anywhere: If your organization adopts a VDI solution, it will realize increased productivity because users can access their virtualized workstations from home, work, or vacation from many computing devices such as smart phones, tablets, and laptops. Users can safely use personal devices like home computers to access sensitive organizational data because virtual workstations are isolated from the personal devices hard drives.
