2 ZARJA ACCESS COMPACT PHILOSOPHY Zarja Access Compact is an access control solution f smaller buildings. Regardless of its simplicity, it is a full scale access control solution f private and professional use. Efficient and easy-to-install hardware has been combined with versatile software. Zarja Access Compact is an ideal solution f family houses, residential buildings, small business, even industrial buildings. It is also a safe and long term investment, which can grow along with the user s needs. Zarja Access Compact is fully compatible with other members of the Zarja Access family. This gives the user the opptunity to expand/incpate the Zarja Access Compact system into the larger Zarja Access system. ZARJA ACCESS COMPACT BUILDING BLOCKS Control Units The Zarja Access Compact Control Unit represents the ce of the Zarja Access Compact system. It is a small and versatile access control unit that can handle up to eight dos. The unit is packed in a standard double DIN rail module and is ready f installation into either an existing DIN rail compatible casing a separate installation box. F easier installation and diagnostics, a set of LED indicats on the module s front panel provides infmation on the module s errs, and the status of digital inputs and outputs. The PoE (Power over Ethernet) version of Zarja Access Compact is the smallest version of the unit. The PoE switch provides not only the necessary communication channel, but also serves as the unit s. Due to its power limitations, it can only provide enough power f one do, making this unit a single-do solution. The, communication line (TCP/IP IEEE 485) and peripheral units (e.g. RFID readers and electric strikes) are attached dirrectly to the control unit via high quality connects. There are multiple versions of the Zarja Access Compact control unit available to cover different needs. The versions differ in: their source (standard 12V 24V vs. PoE), the type of communication interface used (Ethernet, WiFi IEEE 485), and the number and type of digital output lines. When using a standard, any Zarja Access Compact Control Unit can handle up to eight dos. Depending on the unit s version two four dos can be controlled using the module s digital outputs. Additional dos can be connected either to the digital outputs on Zarja Access readers, by using additional I/O modules.

3 The use of Zarja Access Compact unit s with a TCP/IP communication channel is encouraged. Units utilising IEEE485 communication are intended primarily as a replacement f existing older access control units. 4 ZARJA ACCESS COMPACT TOPOLOGIES THERE ARE THREE MAIN ZARJA ACCESS COMPACT TOPOLOGIES: SINGLE This is the simplest possible topology of the Zarja Access Compact system. The single topology is comprised of one Zarja Access Control Unit that can handle up to eight dos (a single do when using the PoE control unit). The control unit contains all the necessary software f configuration, management and operation. Management is done entirely via web browser on your PC tablet (ipad Android). There is no need to install any additional software on a separate PC. Zarja Access Web HTTPS (Ethernet WiFi) Zarja Access Compact up to 8 dos When there is a need f me than one control unit, a multi topology must be used. All control units are connected to the TCP/IP netwk, using wired WiFi Connection.The proprietary software that enables configuration, management and operation of the multi system - Zarja Access Manager with an MS SQL database - must be installed on a separate PC server. The RS 485 bus can be connected to the PC server either directly via a TCP/IP netwk, using an RS485 converter. It must be installed on a separate Windows PC server and uses an MS SQL server f its database.
