Interoperability Platform and Standardization Efforts FP7-SEC Funded by European Commission Project ID ETSI Workshop Sophia Antipolis, 10 May 2016
REDIRNET - The static and streamed data interoperability Emergency and rescue agencies should not have their operational responses hindered by lack of access to relevant available information held by other agencies such as databases, sensors and cameras Interoperability of access to static and streamed data with provision of: meta-data gateway controlled by the agencies themselves via collaboration web, use of semantic web methods in accordance with the vocabulary and processes of the user community Agencies will be able to select which other agencies to link with and importantly the extent of this linkage in accord with operational protocols pre-agreed contingency plans the needs of any specific incident including dynamic reconfiguration of existing links adding additional agencies in response to incident developments
REDIRNET - The basic idea REDIRNET META DATA INTERFACE REDIRNET is based on the unification of meta-data interfaces with socioprofessional networking ones to allow agencies to configure and control all the attributes of their interoperability with other agencies
REDIRNET - How it will work? Following agreement for interoperability between Agency A and B, Agency B is offering a data stream from Sensor 4 and Camera 2 to Agency A. This data stream is received in Agency A s control room on its own sensor 6 and camera 3 positions and can be passed to Agency A s deployed officers in accordance with their procedures and device capabilities. REDIRNET will provide a Common Meta-Data Gateway combined with a collaboration networking system where each agency can set the visibility and controllability of its data by partner agency and/or data field
REDIRNET Main benefits - Better cooperation between first responder agencies at major crisis incidents - High level of interoperability without big investment - No need to replace existing communication system - Access to various data (voice, video, pictures, sensor's data) for better decision making - Easy configuration and set-up - Open system for each kind of organization (public, private, NGO) - Easy integration of new sources (interface) - International and cross-boarding interoperability and cooperation - High security during transmission of data - User-friendly solution
REDIRNET - Integration of end-users End users in EU Member States First responders, other public agencies, commercial organisation in related fields Development of a standardized interface development of technology specific Plug-ins implementing the communication protocol of the selected systems. Selected technologies integrated in the project CCTV real time/ recorded video Floor-plans, situational diagrams of buildings Fire alarm system data Intrusion systems sensors Contingency plans Other sensors like water level, chemical material, temperature Geographical location/position information sources
