1 DATA SHEET SWITCHING H3C S5500-SI SerIeS GIGabIt ethernet SwItCHeS S C-SI / S C-PWR-SI S C-SI / S C-PWR-SI Overview H3C S5500-SI Series Gigabit Ethernet Switches deliver quad-speed performance 10/100/1000 and 10 Gigabit Ethernet and advanced voice-optimized features such as Power over Ethernet (PoE), auto-voice VLAN and quality of service (QoS). This makes the them ideal for enterprises seeking to build a secure, convergence-optimized campus network. Robust IPv6 support and 10 Gigabit Ethernet uplinks future-proof an enterprise network against obsolescence. Key Benefits Managed Layer 2 and Layer 3 Gigabit Connectivity Wire-speed Layer 2 Gigabit Ehternet switching with dynamic Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet routing make the S5500-SI switch line ideal for wiring closet and workgroup connectivity requirements. In addition, four of the ports are dualpersonality, operating either as 10/100/1000 copper or SFPbased fiber to provide greater flexibility. These switches also accommodate up to four extra optional 10 Gigabit Ethernet high-speed links, enabling connectivity to a core network or to high-performance servers. Secure Enterprise-class security features include 802.1X network login, SSH/Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encrypted device login and access control lists (ACLs) to protect mission-critical business applications. Voice-Ready Minimize the cost and complexity associated with adding or moving IP telephones: S5500-SI Series switches detect the presence of IP phones and dynamically assign switch ports to the voice VLAN, enabling automated configuration and prioritization of VoIP traffic. Additionally, PoE models provide electrical power and data connectivity over a single Ethernet cable resulting in significant cost savings when deploying these phones.
