9 Ericsson ucore MSC Server Operations and Maintenance LZU R1A Description This course is a hands on course that will provide the knowledge needed to operate and maintain the ucore MSC Sever, on the Versatile Service Engine (VSE) Platform. This course supports both GSM and UMTS Core Networks. 19 Ericsson USP Overview, Operations, and Maintenance for GSM-N Networks LZU R1A Description This course focuses on the Universal Signaling Point (USP). This WBL course provides the participant with a detailed description of the USP. The courses provide frame, shelf and card views of the USP as well as a description of the OA&M system used to perform OAM functions on the USP. This course focuses on the operations and maintenance of the Universal Signaling Point (USP). It examines the hardware characteristics related to fault management. It also looks at the USP Manager user interface and its functions and capabilities that relate to operations and maintenance tasks for the USP. GSM-N networks can use the Universal Signaling Point (USP) or the SigTran Services Gateway (SSG) to perform the same tasks. This course only applies to those networks that continue to use the USP. 22 Ericsson ERS 8600 for GSM-N Wireless Networks LZU R1B Description In order to route all voice and data packets through the Wireless network, the Access and Core technicians need to develop their skills working with the Ethernet routing equipment. This course provides the skills and knowledge to operate and maintain the Ethernet Routing Switch 8600 (ERS 8600) for GSM-N wireless networks. To reinforce learning, the participant will perform hands-on exercises.
