nl Version: Description Cloud Network Manager (July 2015) AP firmware V (July 2015) The HP Cloud-Managed Networking solution consists of HP Cloud Network Manager (CNM) software and HP Cloud-Managed access points (APs). CNM provides a standard web-based interface that allows you to configure and monitor multiple HP wireless networks from anywhere, provided you have an Internet connection. The APs self-organize into WLAN clusters transparently managed by a lead AP with embedded controller functionality. With the HP Cloud-Managed Networking solution, all user control and data traffic stay local within the WLAN, with network management information going to HP CNM in the cloud. 5 The following enhancements are added in this release: Customer account creation The current release of Cloud Network Manager introduces the following changes in the Cloud Network Manager customer account creation process: When a user purchases a Cloud Network Manager subscription, a welcome with a registration link is sent to the users. Using this link, the new users can register their account details with Cloud Network Manager, and gain access to the Cloud Network Manager portal. The welcome does not include password details for the user account. Instead, the users can assign passwords to their respective accounts during the registration process. Multiple account support for a single customer. If a user subscription supports multiple accounts, users can switch between these accounts using the Switch Customer link from the Cloud Network Manager UI. The administrators can now resend invitations to the users who are added to an account. Using the link provided in the invitations, users can register to gain access to the Cloud Network Manager portal. For more information on the procedure for creating and activating customer accounts, see HP Cloud Network Manager Getting Started Guide and HP Cloud Network Manager User Guide. Label management The Maintenance section of the Cloud Network Manager UI now includes the Label Management tab that allows you to create and edit labels, and detach a device from a label. You can tag a device to a specific location, department, or owner by using a label. The labeled devices can be filtered to customize the Monitoring dashboard view. NOTE: The devices can also be classified using Groups. The group classification can be used for role-based access to a device, while labels can used for tagging a device to a location or region. However, if a device is already assigned to a group and has a label associated with it, it is classified using both group and labels. User interface changes The following changes are introduced in this release: The Monitoring > Overview and Monitoring > Access Points panes now display the following graphs: WIRELESS DATA USAGE Displays the aggregate incoming and outgoing traffic for all access points per SSID over a specified period. WIRELESS CLIENTS Displays the number of clients connected to access points per SSID over a specified period. You can view the WIRELESS DATA USAGE, and WIRELESS CLIENTS graphs for a specific time frame (1 Hour, 3 Hours, 1 Day, 1 Week, 1 Year) by clicking 1H, 3H, 1D, 1W, or 1Y. The TOP 5 CLIENTS BY USAGE table in the Monitoring > Overview pane now includes the Name and SSID columns that indicate the name of the client and the SSID to which the client is connected. The TERMS & CONDITIONS SETTINGS section in the Splash Page > Customization pane under the Guest Management tab allows you to set the length of terms and conditions text up to 8000 characters. The pagination widget in the UI displays the total number of pages and allows you to navigate through these pages, and access device records. New features and enhancements (current release) 5

User interface Limitations [ ] The Network Summary Report, generated from Reports > Network > Create New Report now displays a complete TOTAL USAGE BY SSID pie chart. [ ] The WIDS event count in a Security Report now matches the WIDS event count displayed on the Monitoring > WIDS page. [ ] The override icon is now displayed immediately after changing configuring parameters. [ ] The access type no longer reverts to Unrestricted when configuring role-based access rules for a network profile. Limitations to take note of in this release are as follows: When social login is configured and the user connects to the social SSID, the users are provided domain access to the social networking websites such as Google+, Facebook, and LinkedIn, without being prompted for credentials. When navigating between groups, if you click the Back button on the browser, you are not directed to the appropriate last visited page. The browser Back button returns to the appropriate page only if you are navigating within the current selected group. The pagination feature in the current version of the Cloud Network Manager UI has the following limitations: The tables do not support sorting of data based on columns. You can use the Search function to look for specific records in a table. The width of the columns in the table is fixed and cannot be adjusted. Fixes (previous release) Cloud Network Manager (May 2015) AP firmware V (May 2015) NOTE: The number that is included in some fix descriptions is used for tracking purposes. Access Points The following fixes are included in this release: [ ] In an environment with two separate accounting servers, the servers now receive data packets. [ ] An HP 365 with scanning enabled and connected to an SIP phone has improved voice call experience. [ ] A Netgear 340U USB modem can successfully be provisioned on the AP. [ ] Prioritization of voice or video calls now works for Lync when the classify media option is enabled. When you replace a defective AP, the original AP is not physically deleted from the Cloud. You must manually delete the AP from the Cloud. When you perform an asset move, the AP is not physically deleted from the old account. You must manually delete the AP from the Cloud. 8 Limitations

Captive portal Firmware Maintenance Monitoring Reports User interface [ ] Fixed an issue in which, if you include a space in the captive portal name while configuring the external captive portal parameters, the external captive portal did not associate with the network profile. [ , ] APs can now form cluster when Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) is enabled on HP switches. LACP is now enabled on APs whenever APs receive the LACP PDU. [ ] After upgrading a group to the latest firmware version, the group clients now connect to the correct SSID. [ ] When you select Maintenance > Firmware, the Firmware upgrade page accurately displays only the APs that are up instead of listing all APs that are connected to CNM. [ ] Fixed an issue in which, after selecting 50 APs and scrolling down the Firmware pane, the selected APs appeared to be deselected on the Maintenance > Firmware > VIRTUAL CONTROLLERS page. [ ] Fixed an issue in which the Monitoring > Clients > CLIENTS DETAILS page displayed incorrect log values for Mobility Trail and Event Log. [ ] Fixed an issue in which the Monitoring > WIDS page displayed incorrect values in the INTERFERING APS, INFRASTRUCTURE ATTACKS, and CLIENT ATTACKS boxes. [ ] Fixed an issue in which, on the Monitoring > Access Points page, the APs could not be filtered based on the LOCATION parameter. [ ] If Internet Explorer is used to connect to CNM, you no longer need to select All Groups in order to view the contents of the Monitoring > Overview page. [ ] Clicking a virtual controller under a group on the Monitoring > Overview page, now displays the throughput graph. [ ] Fixed an issue in which clicking Console Access on the Monitoring > Access Points page did not display the Remote Console System if the AP username was not admin. [ ] Fixed an issue in which the Monitoring and Network Summary Report pane displayed invalid client numbers in the reports summary. This issue was observed when bulk data was transferred from the client. [ ] A report that was generated in the Reports > Network > Create New Report page now retains its name when it is exported. [ ] Fixed an issue in which creating a wireless network profile with a non-default value in the local probe threshold option caused the following, or similar, error: 500 Internal Server [ ] If you log out after creating groups, and then log in using Internet Explorer, the groups that you created appear right away. [ ] The expected icon now appears when you click Reboot AP on the Monitoring > Access Points page. Fixes (previous release) 9

[ ] On the Wireless Configuration > Access Points > Radio page, Advanced Radio Resource Management is listed correctly. [ ] The Quick Links drop-down list on the CNM home page is now labeled. [ ] Fixed an issue in which, when configuring the internal splash page, entering a wrong URL did not generate a URL validation error message. [ ] Fixed an issue in which, if you create a network-based access rule using a rule name that already existed, CNM sent the new rule definition to the AP, but the AP ignored the new rule definition. No error was triggered. [ ] Fixed an issue in which the username did not display in the top of the CNM page if the user had read-only access. [ ] When you create a new wireless network on the Wireless Configuration > Networks page, if you select an internal server certificate on the SECURITY page, the user interface displays an upload link option. Wireless configuration [ ] Fixed an issue in which, after configuring an employee network with 124 APs at the group level, the configuration changes were not applied. This issue was observed in the Wireless Configuration pane of the CNM UI. [ ] Fixed an issue in which, when creating an enterprise employee network using Wireless Configuration > Create New, enabling the MAC AUTHENTICATION parameter enabled the AUTHENTICATION SURVIVABILITY parameter in the CNM UI. [ ] Fixed an issue in which, when creating an enterprise employee network using Wireless Configuration > Create New, setting the MAC AUTHENTICATION FAILURE parameter to a value less than 4 enabled the AUTHENTICATION SURVIVABILITY parameter in the CNM UI. [ ] If you create an internal-authenticated guest network, and the connected AP has captive portal mode set to Acknowledged, this release of CNM sends an authenticated command to the AP. [ ] If External-RADIUS authentication is selected when you create a new wireless network on the Wireless Configuration > Networks page, the Automatic URL Whitelisting feature can now be enabled on the SECURITY page. [ ] APs can now establish an HTTPS connection with the CNM provisioning server using certificate-based authentication. [ ] APs now connect seamlessly with the CNM UI. In the previous releases, APs randomly disconnected from CNM after sending event message to the CNM server. [ ] Wireless clients can now connect to the WPA and WPA1 SSIDs configured on an AP. Issues and workarounds NOTE: The number that is included in some issue descriptions is used for tracking purposes. Access Points The following issues have been observed in this release: [ ] Sometimes, APs do not allow clients to access the web applications that are classified as allowed applications in the ACL rules. [ ] Changing the Ethernet Port Speed or Duplex configuration does not take effect on APs. A Reseller (acting on behalf of a customer) cannot belong to more than one account on the Cloud. In this case, the end user must register the AP. 10 Issues and workarounds

[ ] Sometimes, when APs are moved between the groups, alerts for these APs are not displayed at the ALL Group level. As a workaround, use the alert details displayed on the Monitoring > Access Point > AP Details page. Authentication If NTP service is not available (either blocked by firewall or device not configured to use local NTP server), the device authentication with cloud portal might fail. [ ] Due to wpa2-key1 authentication failure, the deauthenication requests from the Windows 7 devices with old NIC drivers fail when clients roam from one AP to another in a cluster. As a workaround, upgrade the NIC driver. Guest management Monitoring [ ] Although Terms and Conditions are enabled in the guest splash page profile with social login and authenticated option configured, users are able to access the network without accepting the Terms and Conditions. When social login is configured, a guest user connecting to the social SSID can gain domain access to the social networking website without being prompted for credentials. [ ] The alert count for a device shows slightly different values on the Monitoring > Overview and Monitoring > AP Details panes when APs are filtered by labels in the Monitoring > Overview pane. [ ] The WIRELESS DATA USAGE graph on the Monitoring > Overview pane shows empty data for master APs. When different labels are applied to master and slave devices in the same cluster, the wireless data usage between the master and slave AP appears to be swapped. As a workaround, refer to the THROUGHPUT graph for more accurate data. [ ] Sometimes, the client OS type chart on the Monitoring > Overview pane displays the devices as Unknown, although these devices are correctly identified in the Monitoring > AP DETAILS and Monitoring > CLIENT DETAILS panes. [ ] Although the search criteria based on the MAC Address, event type, description, and device type are defined in the search option, the search function on the Monitoring > Event log pane does not display the event details pertaining to a VC. [ ] For a Read-Write user, the Monitoring > Overview page displays data for All Groups when a VC is selected. [ ] The APs flagged due to Errors are not displayed in the Monitoring > Access Points pane. As a workaround, use the error notifications displayed on the Notifications page. [ 30491, 30486, 30386, 30358, ] The following issues are identified in the Monitoring > Overview and Monitoring > AP Details panes. The aggregate incoming and outgoing data traffic displayed for APs in the in the THROUGHPUT and WIRELESS DATA USAGE graphs do not match. The WIRELESS CLIENTS graph samples do not match the data displayed in the CLIENTS graph. Display of the client count in the CLIENTS graph is delayed by 5 minutes when compared to THROUGHPUT graphs on the Monitoring > Overview and Monitoring > AP Details panes. As a workaround, refer to the THROUGHPUT graph for more accurate information. Issues and workarounds 11

User interface [ ] The WIRELESS DATA USAGE graphs on the Monitoring > Overview and Monitoring > Access Points panes do not show all connected SSIDs. As a workaround, remove the networks that you do not want to include in the graph by clicking the colored box in the legend. [ ] When a client connects to an AP, the Device OS Type of the client is sometimes logged as Unknown leading to a larger count. Although the correct OS type is determined eventually, an incorrect value is displayed for the total number of AP clients per OS type in the Monitoring > Overview and Monitoring > Client panes. However, the OS type is updated accurately in the Monitoring > Access Point > Access Point Details, Monitoring > Client > Client List panes, and in the Total Client count under the Monitoring > Client pane. [ ] While setting up a user account through the Mozilla FireFox browser, if the user clicks the back or forward button, the Sign up page displays the address field as a read-only field. As a workaround, refresh the page. [ ] Cloud Network Manager creates user accounts before validating the ZIP code and region details entered by the user on the Sign up page. As a workaround, try creating the account again. If the sign up page prompts for authentication, provide the user name and password used in your previous account creation attempt. [ ] The Security Summary Report page takes more than one minute to load if the report contains a large amount of data. [ ] When scrolling through a table that has a vertical scroll bar, the table header goes out of the view. [ ] After configuring parameters on the Wireless Configuration > RF > ARRM page for ALL Groups, the CNM UI does not display the Override button until you refresh the UI. [ ] The security fields are not loading properly when you edit a guest network using Mozilla Firefox. Wireless configuration [ ] The MAC addresses in the Detecting AP column on the Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) are not refreshed when the user toggles between Interfering APs and IDS Attack Detected radio buttons. As a workaround, click the count in the map to view the MAC address. [ ] The MAC addresses for some of notifications generated with WIDS event are not displayed in WIDS Events table. [ ] When configuring access rules for a network profile on the Wireless Configuration > Networks page, if you change the access type from Role Based to Unrestricted, the UI reverts the configuration to Role Based. As a workaround, delete the role assignment rules, and then change the access type to Unrestricted. [ ] When using the Wireless Configuration > System page, Virtual Controller Netmask and Virtual Controller Gateway configurations are not applied to the AP. [ ] When you create a new role-based wired network on the Wireless Configuration > Networks page, some role configurations, such as the pre-auth-role, mac-role, and machine-role are missing. 12 Issues and workarounds
