1 Hans Kruse, PhD Professor McClure School of Information and Telecommunication Systems Adjunct Associate Professor, School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Senior Partner Hanseatic Consulting Summary Dr. Hans Kruse joined the faculty of the J. Warren McClure School of Information and Telecommunication Systems (then known as Communication Systems Management) at Ohio University in March, At he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses covering voice and data networks and applications, network security, wireless networks, and network design. Dr. Kruse has conducted research on a number of regulatory issues, network design problems, and data communication protocols. His research is currently focused on studies of satellite-based internet communication systems and disruption-tolerant networking. He is also involved in research and commercialization projects in the areas of speech and natural language processing, as well as the use of eye movement tracking in the diagnosis of cognitive impairments. Dr. Kruse managed the Ohio Consortium for Advanced Communications Technology (OCACT). (OCACT was the operator of the NASA-owned ACTS satellite.) He is currently the associate director of the Center for Telecommunications and Space, a joint venture between Morehouse College and. Dr. Kruse came to from Telco Research Corporation in Nashville, TN, where his duties included voice and data network design consulting for Fortune 500 companies. Dr. Kruse holds M.S and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Professional Experience Professor present J.
