3 VMS Redundant virtualized architecture Basic VMS is available on servers dedicated to manage 32 cameras. For larger size and secure systems VMS is structured on redundant servers, number of servers depends on number of managed cameras. Over 1,000 cameras 3 servers are usually recommended. This architecture allows load balancing and redundancy. In case of failure of one server, the second one resumes execution of VMs managed by the failed server. Applications and storage spaces are located on the storage server that is itself highly secure (redundant PSU, redundant disk management cards, RAID 6). Even in case of failure of several disks the system remains operational. 4 Scalability and Storage Capacity without limits The highly secure Storage Arrays are adapted to the needs of VMS installations, they are designed with Gunnebo calculation tool according to detailed specifications. VMS architecture offers storage capacities from tens of Terabyte to multiple Petabyte. Depending on the model a storage array can be equipped with up to 60 HD of 6 TB. Several arrays can be interconnected. Disks can be grouped in RAID cluster, storage is ensured even with loss of multiple disks. 8 Remote management software suite VMS includes a complete range of remote management applications: CenterV2: (Up to 5 systems max) Monitoring application for managing multiple systems (Displaying live views, receiving images when an alarm is triggered, bidirectional audio communication, I/O management, reports, sending s, etc.) CenterV2 Pro: An extended version of CenterV2 which is capable of managing up to 500 systems Control Center: For remotely managing VisioS@ve systems. It has five main functions: o It enables a user to completely control a recorder s parameters o It can be used to search for, view and save recordings o It manages system I/Os o It manages remote access to a system office o It provides a complete video wall solution up to 8 full HD monitors or more with option VSM: Monitoring application for technically managing up to systems, transmitting faults, managing disk capacity for supervised sites, sending alerts, etc. Video Wall management Video Wall can be managed with an optional license for Control Center.
