Telephone Paths, 1 Program Channel Carehawk Switching Security Card 32 Port 4 Carehawk Bix to 12 RJ45, 3 Foot Carehawk Bix Bracket 10 position 2,000 West Penn Wire 4PR 24AWG SHLD CAT 5E CMR Other Specifications: Eastern Kentucky University is requesting the furnishing and installation of a new Intercom System. Please include all wire mould and wiring. Data connection to be provided by the University. Intercom System to be Carehawk (or equal). Include new central controller, (5) new admin. consoles, software, (4) switching security cards, (10) Bix brackets and (10) Bix to 12 RJ45 patch cables. This request is for the upgrade of the existing Dukane intercom system with a new Dukane/Carehawk head end and adding 3 additional admin stations. Vendor will run wire mould surface mount conduit down the hall with existing wire mould for the cabling required for the new Admin stations. Also, the new Carehawk headend will need a network connection for the ability of remote programming the bell schedule as requested. All speakers and call in stations are to remain and are NOT being replaced at this time. Any speakers or stations found to have problems can be replaced but will have to be addressed with a separate proposal.

This RFQ is part of a competitive procurement process, which helps to serve the best interests of the University. The award will be made to the Offeror(s) whose proposal is determined to be the most advantageous to the University. The University reserves the right, at the time of evaluation of any proposal to request any additional information that it deems necessary in order to make a decision on any proposed offer. The University reserves the right to reject any or all proposals after evaluation. Rejection of all proposals will mean that the University, in its own best interest at this time, has determined not to pursue this issue. The University may at its own discretion, invite one or more Offeror(s) to participate in a competitive negotiation process. This is a request for information and quotations furnished are not offers. If you are unable to quote, please so indicate on this form and return it to the above address. This request does not commit EKU to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of the submission of this quotation or to contract for supplies or service.
