4 Safety Precations For yor correct and safe operations on the eqipment, please careflly read and strictly observe the following safety instrctions: High optical power can case bodily harm, especially to eyes. Never look directly into the end of the optical transmitter fiber jmper or the end of its active connector. Exercise care if yo mst bend fibers. If bends are necessary, the fiber bending radis shold never be less than 38mm. Overloaded power sockets or damaged cables and connectors may case electric shock or fire. Reglarly check related electric cables. If any of them is damaged, replace it immediately. Use the power spply adapter provided in the package only. Using other adapters may case eqipment damage or operation failres. Install the eqipment in a well ventilated environment withot high temperatre or direct snlight to protect the eqipment and its components from overheating, which can reslt in damage. Disconnect the power in lightning weather and disconnect all the wires and cables on the device (sch as the power cable, network cable and phone cable), so as to prevent device from being damaged by lightning. Do not place this eqipment in damp or near moistre environment. Water will lead to abnormal operation of device and even the danger cased by short circit. Do not lay this eqipment on an nsteady base. 9 2 Prodct Introdction 2.1 Prodct Positioning The AN A is an FTTH-type GPON ONT. It provides sers with commnication and entertainment services in the form of data, voice, video, and so on, to meet the integrated access demand of families and small-scaled enterprises. See Figre 2-1 for the network positioning of the AN A. 14 AN A GPON Optical Network Terminal Prodct Manal Prodct Characteristics The AN A can be sed together with the OLT eqipment to make p a GPON system and access mltiple services for sers. The AN A has the following characteristics: 1. GPON access capability Conforms to ITU-T G.984 series of standards, with good interoperability. Provides large-capacity GPON transmission bandwidth: spports 2.5 Gbit/s for the downlink rate and 1.25 Gbit/s for the plink rate. Spports the DBA (Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation) algorithm. Spports long-hal transmission. The maximm transmission distance can reach 20 km. 2. Abndant service types 3. Gateway fnctions The eqipment provides abndant physical interfaces on the sbscriber side to access mltiple services sch as Internet access and video services. Serves as home gateway and provides abndant and reliable gateway fnctions. Fnctions as the DHCP Server to cater for application demands in different scenarios. Spports configring protection against DoS attack, filtering of MAC addresses, IP addresses and URL addresses, firewall and ACL rles to garantee safe operation of the eqipment. 4. Remote atomatic provisioning of services, maintenance and management The eqipment adopts the management based on TR-069 and OMCI, and spports TR-069 over OMCI. It can manage terminal services withot IP network, which facilitates atomatic provisioning, maintenance and management of services remotely. 8 Version: A/1

Only a few changes are reqired to deliver the ONT services in a batch manner and make network adjstment. 20 AN A GPON Optical Network Terminal Prodct Manal 3.1 Logging into Web Configration GUI Locally Prereqisites The following discsses how to log into the ONT Web GUI locally and introdces the configration GUI layot. The ONT has been connected with the compter correctly. The ser compter is started normally. The ONT is started normally. Press down the ONT power btton. If the power indicator LED is ON, the ONT is powered on normally. Planning Data Before setting p the configration environment, prepare the data as shown in Table Version: A/1

Doble-click Network Connection to enter the network connection window. b) Right-click Local Connection and select Properties from the shortct men to bring p the Local Connection Properties dialog box. c) Doble-click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box that appears, set the IP address and sbnet mask of the compter. (See Table 3-1 for the detailed vales). 18 Version: A/1

Enter (defalt management IP address of the ONT) in the browser address bar of the compter, and press the Enter key to bring p the ser login dialog box. 3. Enter the administrator sername and password in the login dialog box. Access the Web GUI after the password is athenticated. Cation: The system will log ot atomatically if no operation is performed in five mintes. Web Configration GUI Layot The Web configration GUI comprises three parts, as shown in Figre 3-1. The common sers can view and configre only part of the node items. The following lists the key nodes available for common sers.
