Generic Stream Encapsulation (GSE) is a lowoverhead encapsulation method for DVB-S2 It does not use MPEG2 TS and is designed specifically for DVB-S2 Who needs it? GSE is becoming the standard of choice for DVB-S2 IP interoperability DVB-S2 Extensions introduces a new, more efficient version of GSE called GSE-HEM (High Efficiency Mode) and GSE-Lite 20
