3 SUMMARY "Power Over Ethernet" (PoE) transmits both DC power voltage and local network data over regular Cat 5/5e/6/6a Ethernet cabling. "PoE" simplifies the installation of security cameras, especially when it is combined with "Wireless Internet Service Provider" (WISP) routers. 3

47 BASIC HOOK-UP To install a "Power over Ethernet" "PoE" camera, you need to "interject" either a "PoE injector" OR a "PoE" network switch between your existing broadband router and your new "PoE" camera. 47
