1 McCloud Cowork Specify your Solution Thank you for considering a Medusa McCloud system. As there are many options and variations available to fine-tune the system design to your workspace needs, we have provided this specifier. Specifying your McCloud Cowork There are three parts to your McCloud: 1) the core software licence that you access in the cloud (the Cowork Edition ), 2) a chassis or appliance that manages your internet, and 3) an essential Ethernet switch that creates networks in your workspace. On top of that, you can expand the capacity of the system and add options such as Integrations or WiFi. This guide talks you through identifying your needs. Subscriptions covers software, support, warranty and updates. McCloud Cowork Edition Level 1 Please read presentations on the nature of Medusa as it has hundreds of features. There are some extra features in the McCloud version, as well. A summary of this: What s included in Every Edition, is given further down this guide. Member & Guest (timed duration) network for 200 devices accounts in 5 types of account. Choose a higher plan for more devices. Multiple bandwidth limits set by account type (Member, Guest, Personal, Visitor, etc.). Branded Gateway with separate Member and Guest login (see video). 4 segregated company or network licences (VLANs) including Utility and Voice, each with bandwidth service plans. Patchless license (room and drop database). 2 Internet WAN ports with load balance and failover. SLA: advanced replacement (next day dispatch), Helpdesk or call working hours, updates, monitoring. Expansion If your workspace is larger than our entry level, you can expand the capacity of your Cowork Edition by increasing the number of People devices choose Level 2, 3 or beyond (we can handle 1000s of devices). If you use the Company network facility you can add extra to these. McCloud Specifier

2 Switches You need at least one switch, however small. These are Medusa-Managed switches, controlled directly by our User Interface. WiFi systems (yours or ours) are connected via switches. You can also provide for wired users (many users prefer a wired connection and it saves your WiFi system), printers, CCTV, door access, and the many other workspace resources that need wired connections. If you have multiple spaces or floors in a building, you just need one cable between spaces and a breakout managed switch in the space. We are experts at this just us with a description and we ll design something for you. Chassis You select the chassis size based on how many users you expect and bandwidth. Most coworks will choose between the budget micro, and the industrial grade Mini unit. You can also buy a spare, just in case. WiFi We provide a managed WiFi service, pricing for which is below. But we understand that you may already have your own. We need nothing special from your WiFi just a wired connection. Anything works. Options Integrations A really important feature of McCloud is its ability to talk with management platforms. This is an exciting area; we are adding platforms and features all the time so please check back with us frequently. Guest Integrations collect details from visitors and add to a CRM automatically. Mailchimp is the most popular and powerful. Member Integrations check the credentials of member against the platform details. If approved, the member is given access for their devices and optionally assigned bandwidth. Some member Integrations have Presence where we record when members arrive and leave by their WiFi usage. The platform can turn this into time plans, passes, and other products. There is a 1 month set up charge, so we charge this and the 1 st month subscriptions prior to dispatch. The minimum term for licences and support is 1 month. Hardware items have a minimum charge of 12 months if returned in good condition. You can also purchase the hardware as capital items, and obtain a substantial discount. This will reduce your long term costs. If you wish to pre-buy a 36-month term, we are happy to provide a quotation with a 20% discount.
