2 Preface Audience This manual is intended for network installers and system administrators who are responsible for installing, configuring or maintaining networks. It assumes that you understand the transmission and management protocols used on your network. This manual also assumes prior knowledge and understanding of the terminology, theories, practices and specific knowledge about the networking devices, protocols, and interfaces that comprise your network. Overview The SIGNAMAX HTB s reliable hardware design is ideal for non-stop industrial communication applications. SIGNAMAX HTB products can provide an economical solution for your Ethernet access. The IP30 level protection shell design means the product can work reliably in harsh and dangerous environments. LED state indicators can help the network manager monitor the network s connection status. 3 Mechanical design HTB: Power input The lower panel of SIGNAMAX HTB switch provides industrial terminals V- V+, power input is 12~36 V DC. Communication interface 100BaseFX Optical port 100BaseFX full duplex fiber interface. Fiber interfaces should be used in pairs. TX is the optical sending port, RX is the optical receiving port. The fiber interface supports dropped instructions, so that network reliability can be improved efficiently. 10/100BaseT/TX Interface 10/100BaseT/TX Ethernet interface is on the front panel of the device. Interface type is RJ45 LED indicator LEDs on the front panel of SIGNAMAX HTB switch show system and port working state, so you can find and solve problems. These meanings are shown as below: 10/100BaseTX Port Green Yellow Green On Port works at 100Mbps Green Off Port works at 10Mbps Yellow On data is being transmitted. Yellow Off data is not being transmitted.

Green On Port Link Up Green Off Port Link Down Other Indicators Power status indicator(pwr) Yellow On Power on Yellow Off Power off Installation Before you install, you should ensure if there is a suitable working environment, such as available power options, enough space, whether it is close to devices that need to connect, and whether other devices are prepared well. This device uses a Standard 35mm DIN rail-mount. It s very easy in most industry applications. Installation step is shown as below: Check the DIN-Rail installation tools and accessories (accessories have been provided with this switch) at first; Check whether the DIN-rail is strong enough, whether the place is suitable for mounting this switch; Put the lower part of the DIN-rail connector onto the DIN rail (lower part with spring), then put the upper part of the DIN-rail mount onto the DIN-rail (lower the mount just a little, keep the equipment balanced, and push into the upper card with a little force); After putting the switch onto the DIN-rail, please check and ensure this product has been installed properly.
