7 Primary Use Case CX111 Product Specification o Note: This product is to be connected only to PoE networks without routing to the outside of the plant. The CX111 Bridge typically provides backup internet connectivity. When the CX111 Bridge receives a DHCP request it will automatically initiate a broadband connection through one or more installed cellular broadband modems. The CX111 Bridge will typically be powered over PoE supplied by the Juniper SRX, J Series or SSG device. If the CX111 is powered by both AC adapter and PoE, then power is drawn for the AC source. If AC power is interrupted, the CX111 will automatically switch to PoE (if available) with no loss of service or connection. Set up Connect Mobile Broadband Device Plug a USB or ExpressCard datamodem into the appropriate slot. The data modem should have an active data plan. Visit Juniper s supported device list at Place CX111 Bridge in Best Signal Location Connect the included AC power adapter and use the Modem Signal Strength display to find the best location for the CX111 Brdige. Once optimal placement is found, remove power adapter and install the CX111 bridge securely using provided modem cover and mounting hardware as desired. Wall Mounting Drill four 6mm holes according to the drawing below. Insert the plastic anchors into the holes and install the screws into the anchors leaving the screw heads protruding from the wall approximately 5mm. Hang the CX111 on the exposed screw heads and slide slightly downward to engage the heads securely in the keyhole slots. The CX111 can be mounted vertically or horizontally. 03 Nov 2009 Juniper Networks 7
