The process of operation is carried out by automatic and personal.in which, energy management is by automatically controlled through sensor. Similarly, personal mode of operation is through user is done by manually. The energy management system utilizes both natural and artificial through LDR. A microcontroller used is raspberry pi and programmed through python software. System of operation is monitored and controlled through IOT(Internet Of Things). The experimentation result provides that the proposed system effectively and efficiently used in manage energy consumption. The system can be used to avoid wastage of energy and manage energy by maximum of 70%.energy management can be controlled by switching and dimming controlling in system. Monitoring and controlling is through IOT. Keywords Raspberry pi; IOT; PIR Sensor and Dimmer 1. INTRODUCTION Energy is considered a very important for today human life. Every educational institution and office consumes a great deal of electrical energy. Therefore energy management and conservation must be developed for reducing energy consumption an energy management system could be used to reduce energy consumption. Raspberry pi plays a major role in the system. Raspberry Pi is a credit card size board in which it is not only a processor mode but also act as a controller. In which it occupies a small space and low power. The operation is carried out by raspberry pi in which sensors senses and detects the signal to raspberry pi Controlling of the system is through raspberry pi with the help of IOT. It can be consumed by dimming light system. The dimming system is used in the place where we get plenty of light (i. e.) near the window. An automatic switching control utilize by using a PIR sensor. PIR sensor detects the movement of objects. The advantages of PIR sensor are low-cost and small size. Less maintains and it requires low power. More over the persons can be controlled and monitoring through computer or mobile phones through IOT.IOT is an Internet of things in which says about the current status of room. 2. LITERATURE SURVEY The Recent studies on the existing for energy management system focus on the energy consumption and automation process. 1 An intelligent lighting and Energy management for residential and commercial buildings. This paper focuses on the process of consuming energy in efficient and effectively by switching and dimming systems of energy consumption. 2. Using raspberry pi and GSM survey on home automation. This paper proposes the idea that automation of home appliances by raspberry pi through GSM technology. The GSM technique is used by the users and gives alerts to them and updates about the devices. It can only be monitored not supposed to be controlled 3. Home automation system with android application. This method implements about the main idea that home appliances are controlled through two methods of processes i.e. Webserver and android application. A unique webserver is created to monitor and control through webpage. Other method is through android application in which appliances are controlled through smart phones. A processing unit is raspberry pi 4. Implementation of Interactive home automation systems based on and Bluetooth technologies. Bluetooth technology plays a major role in which it is used to control the appliances when we are at home.bluetooth module used is HC-05 with a processing unit as raspberry pi. 2 5. IOT based monitoring and control system for home automation. This paper says about the process of controlling the devices of home appliances via Wi-Fi. In which Wi-Fi as a communication protocol and raspberry pi as a server system. Raspberry pi communicates with the corresponding relays. 6. Home automation using raspberry pi through Siri enabled mobile devices. The main idea of this system is that controlling the devices via voice recognition. The proxy server used is Siri which is installed in raspberry pi. A set of commands are used for controlling the home appliances. 7. Internet of things based home automation system. The system implements about controlling process via internet. To automate devices which were been controlled through internet 8.Smart drip irrigation system using raspberry pi and Arduino. This system focus on the conservation of energy in which done automatically according to the parameters like humidity like soil parameters. Use of ultrasonic sensors and valves provide a smart drip irrigation. 9.Internet based smart environmental monitoring using the raspberry pi computer. It focus mainly on the tracking of surrounding environmental parameters like temperature, humidity, light level and harmful gases. 10. A low cost smart irrigation control system. An approach to build a low cost irrigation system.it can be controlled through moisture sensor. The controlling of water motor automatically. 3. EXISTING METHOD In the current scenario, internet plays a vital role. The microprocessor used is raspberry pi. The microprocessor does the operation and which sends the signal to the components to ON/OFF. The Bluetooth technology is used to control the devices in which the process of controlling the devices only through the when they capture the range. The licensed radio wave range for Bluetooth is 2.45MHz and the operation range is 10m. The controlling process is only through the short range. The GSM technology is another existing method, in which the alert is send through SMS (to user). In case of network problems or the signal jammer is used to create an issue. The zigbee technology is used in the operation of transmit and receive data. It could have a range of 2.45MHz of frequency and distance up to 10 to 75m. However the network is flexible but it has multiple numbers of nodes for communication (i.e. 254 nodes). 4. PROPOSED METHOD The proposed system of architecture is built for management of energy saving system in educational institutions. The modules used in the above block diagram are Raspberry pi, PIR sensor, LDR, Relay, Camera, Light, power supply and Fan. The purpose of above given modules is explained. Raspberry pi plays a vital role in which acts a processing unit. It controls all the operation and sends commands to the other modules in a unit. PIR Sensor is a sensor which detects the human movements in which through infra-red radiation emitted on human. LDR is a type of resistor in which light hits on it resistance value gets very low and in case of dark it gets very high. Relays are a electromechanical devices that use an electromagnet to operate a pair of movable contacts from an open position to close position. It is used to limit a power supply to a circuit. Camera module is used for monitoring the things happening in a particular place. Lamp is a normal LED lamp.fan is a 5v dc supply fan. Due to this process which is a prototype here used LED lamps and 5v DC supply fan. Due to current scenario energy plays a vital role, in which a source of energy should be consumed. For that a system of architecture, a processing unit used is raspberry pi. Raspberry pi is a SOC (System on Chip) with a built in RISC architecture in ARM 11 controller. The monitoring and controlling process is through IOT (Internet of Things). IOT is not used only for monitoring at the same time one can control the devices through internet. Not only through a limited distance but through anywhere through internet. The only thing to be done is that through IP (Internet Protocol) address. A unique webpage should be created for monitoring and controlling the devices. At, the same time one can control the devices from anywhere through internet. 3 5. BLOCK DIAGRAM B. RASPBERRY PI Raspberry pi is a third generation model B with 64 bits,1.2 GHz, a ARM11 as a core architecture in which ARM Cortex-A53 CPU (BCM 2837) and 1GB internal RAM. It has an wireless LAN on board of b/g/n(BCM434338),on board Bluetooth 4.1, 4 x USB ports and an a Ethernet port.hdmi video interface and audio socket. SD slot for a memory card for storage purpose. A GPU has a video core IV multimedia graphics core at an 400 MHz /300MHz. Fig 1.Block diagram of proposed method. Raspberry pi has an 40 pin GPIO headers in which it 27 pin as a GPIO pins, two 3v and 5v pins, eight ground pins. Camera interface is connector and display serial interface connector is a special feature in it. HDMI connector is here to connect for a display unit. 6. HARDWARE DESCRIPTION A. PIR SENSOR PIR sensor is a sensor in which it is an electronic sensor. It detects the motion of a human.in which it emits the infrared radiation in the field of its view. The radiation of infrared from sensor doesn t visible to human eye. They can only detect infrared radiation emitted by objects but not heat from human. The feature of PIR sensor is High Sensitivity and Low Noise with delay time adjustable. It is made up of pyro electric material. The sensor has an size of ¼ inch (40mm).Gallium nitride and cesium nitrate are materials used in fabrication of the sensor. This sensor is manufactured for the performance of bulgur alarms and automation process and lighting system. The PIR sensor is sometimes known to be PID sensor (Passive Infrared Detector). Infrared radiation enters through the front of the sensor known as sensor face. PIR sensor is a solid state sensor or set of sensor made from pyro electric materials. PIR Sensor is fully automatic indoor and outdoor security light controller capable of controlling up to 2000W. An adjustable knob lets you select how long the light stays on after activation and thus and stops the wastage of electricity. In the evening or night you can also manage at what time the light should become ON by the LUX adjustments knob provided in the sensor. If PIR sensor is installed and works as a security sensor in nights. No separate wiring is required for installation of sensor. Fig 2. Overview of Raspberry pi A small antenna chip is located to act as a to send a radio signals of unlicensed for a Bluetooth. SOC in raspberry pi as a Broadcom BCM2835 which acts as a multiprocessor. SOC is an abbreviation of system on chip. It acts as an multiprocessor. An complex IC that integrates the major functional elements into a single chip or chipset. It acts an accelerating function hardware and used in both hardware and software. Benefits of SOC are that it reduces overall system cost and increases performance. A micro USB plug is used for power supply. The connectivity in the raspberry pi are HDMI audio and video connectors which work with modern TVs and DVI monitors. A 3.5mm audio standard headphone socket and a RCA video which works with most older TVs. The programming language used in Raspberry pi is python. In which it is a user Standard English. Electrical relays used to allow only to allow a low power electronic or computer type to switch relatively high currents or voltages both ON. 7. RESULT AND HARDWARE RESULTS Thus the experimental result based on the system of Architecture is an automatic and user defined process.in which experimental results in which is controlled And monitored by raspberry pi and IOT. It consist Of Raspberry pi as processing unit in which it sends the Commands as signals to the devices when the sensor Senses the motion and the devices gets ON and when there is no motion automatically gets OFF. The current status can be controlled through webpage in which it can control and monitor. Thus the sensor plays a major role in system of architecture and saves an energy in which controlling and monitoring by webpage using IOT. D. LDR A Light Dependent Resistor or a photo resistor or photocell is a light controlled variable resistor. Its resistance changes with the light intensity that falls on it. The resistance of a photo resistor decreases with increasing incident light intensity. In other words it exhibits photoconductivity. Resistance range and sensitivity can differ among dissimilar devices. It can be as high as 1012ohm. It is the device used to absorb light. It works on the principle of photoconductivity. Photoconductivity is a phenomenon in which materials conductivity reduces when light is absorbed by the material. E. CAMERA A camera records and stores the image in digital form. Capturing sound or video in addition to still images is now possible in current scenario of using camera. Capturing of images is usually done by using a photo sensor using a charged coupled device. Fig 4.hardware result of system of operation. 8. CONCLUSION In the today scenario the energy plays a vital role in which 68% of power is used in educational institution and offices so to overcome this drawback this system of experiment is carried out. The implementation is based on raspberry pi and IOT for monitoring and controlling process through webpage. This method is simple and less cost. This had overcomes the process of Bluetooth, and GSM. Raspberry Pi opens up a whole new chapter when it comes to technology today. Not simply because of its size but because of its capabilities. The fact that it is so portable allows it to be used for anything. Even though it is Linux based and many individuals are not familiar with terminal commands, the online community for Pi is growing. There has been so much input from different users along with tutorials online making everyone s life simple when it comes to Pi projects. This can be seen from this security camera project. 5 system can be made by anyone who follows these steps. The steps basically focus mainly on installations which are done directly from the terminal. The program Motion and its configuration of file perform mostly 90% of the task required for the pictures to be taken and sent to the by using IOT. There is also minor programming involved to send . To even simplify the aspect of the script, the user can find a single command that would send an directly from the configuration file using programs such as "send Mail" or Postfix. These steps allow anyone s home to be secure and the size of the camera allows it to be discrete as well. It can be placed anywhere! If the user gets a notification they need to simply go to a Firefox browser and enter their IP address along with the stream port number. They ll be able to see what is going on at that time. 9. FUTURE WORK This system is based on the concept of saving the energy in the most efficient way by current updates of a particular place under surveillance system by using Internet of Things (IOT). The future work of the system is to make surveillance system a more efficient by adding an video coverage process and most widely used in public sector and error in sensor will be altered by an alarm signal.
