Using industry-leading air cooling technology, PRIMERGY servers increase cooling efficiency and help keep server operation very quiet and comfortable. 6 High Availability Fujitsu PRIMERGY servers ensure round-the-clock system availability with bestin-class reliability. MegaRAID SAS controller is supported, allowing array confi gurations of RAID1, 0 + 1, 5 or 6 on internal hard disks. If one disk fails (for RAID6, a simultaneous disk failure of up to two disks), the remaining disk(s) will continue to operate, keeping your system up and running. A hot-plug feature further improves system availability. PRIMERGY servers feature enhanced memory RAS functions by supporting hot-plug memory, memory mirroring and SDDC (Single Device Data Correction). Main memory supports an ECC feature that is capable of automatic data error correction. The cooling system on PRIMERGY is designed to maintain the most appropriate operating temperatures. All heat-generating components (CPUs, PSUs, etc.) are monitored and fan speeds are changed automatically to maintain stable operating temperatures. Redundant cooling fans and optionally-redundant power supply units also ensure higher availability. Reliability Fujitsu conducts an unprecedented series of tests on PRIMERGY servers to ensure highest-quality and rock-solid reliability. Fujitsu developed a special Automated Clip Tester. It enables the simulation of hardware failures at over 1,700 locations on each server. In addition, every single PRIMERGY server is tested for shutdown and reboot over 3,000 times and undergoes over 5-hours of On-going Reliability Testing (ORT). Fujitsu believes that pursuing high levels of product quality is essential in ensuring that your important systems remain up and running.
