3 System Solutions The DP 600B series provides various power system solutions. The modular shelf concept allows for flexible and expeditious customized configuration. The major benefits of this power system family are significant floor space savings for space critical applications as well as a very low acoustic noise level. The shelf design concept allows for flexible power system solutions and easy integration. This very compact system solution contains an integrated distribution and power system controller. Different standard 19 inch solutions are available, depending customer needs and application. Depending on the power needs, the rectifiers DPR 600B-48 or DPR 300B-48 can be integrated in these systems. Energy-saving function The intelligent efficiency-mode provides a new value for energy saving over a very wide operating range of the systems. Applications The typical applications for these power systems are both in indoor and outdoor environments. These systems are perfect power solutions for digital subscriber line (DSL),

4 Rectifier The rectifiers DPR 300B-48 and DPR 600B-48 are single phase, hot-pluggable, fan-cooled rectifiers. The constant output power charateristic supplies the specified power over the full output voltage range. Advanced technology Advanced design (patented solution) and manufacturing technology is applied in these rectifier products to increase high power density and efficiency. The power factor corrector (PFC) is responsible for the sinusoidal input current with a minimum distortion. Smart intelligent digital control methods provide new energy saving functions and extremely low audible noise. The high performance EMC filters guarantee compliance with required standards. The PSC controls the operation of the various parts within the system and monitors the status of the system. Smart battery management and the new, more accurate battery testing are the key factors for the reliable operation of the power system. PSC 3 The PSC 3 is a 3rd generation power system controller. This product is an optimum solution for shelf to very large and complex power systems. It consists of a central unit, which provides basic I/O and a very robust and reliable CAN standard based communication bus. The intelligent efficiencymode brings significant energy savings over a very wide operating range of the systems. The PSC 3 has an inbuilt PLC (programmable logic control) functionality. The monitoring and control of auxiliary devices can be easily integrated to the power systems. The PSC 3 provides remote alarming by using potential-free relay contacts or SNMP. It offers remote supervision with a standard web browser via modem or a LAN / Ethernet network. It consists of a compact central unit providing I/O periphery, and of an analogue based communication bus to the rectifiers. The user friendly display quickly provides basic information about the current status of the power system. The controller s battery management with regularly accomplished capacity tests is one of the key factors for the availability of a power system. The PSC 1 controller provides remote alarming by means of potential-free relay contacts. PSC 1000 The power system controller PSC 1000 is a perfect solution for medium power systems. It consists of a central unit with integrated user interface with LCD display. The I/O provides terminals for data acquisition and alarming by using potential-free relay contacts. The PSC 1000 allows remote supervision with PSM magic.
