3 All-In-One, Cabinetmaking CNC Solution Optimus is an all-in-one cabinetmaking CNC solution, built in our state-of-the-art factory in Burlington, Canada, by the best team in the business. Its robust construction offers the perfect platform for superb power, versatility and productivity. A heavy-duty, steel base combined with an 8 steel gantry offers stability, high-speed machining and superior cut quality. With the Auto Zone Management option, Optimus automatically activates and deactivates zones according to the live position of the cutting head. Powerful servo motor systems coupled with helical rack and pinion provide exceptional performance while continuing to deliver greater accuracy, smoother cutting and quieter running. A specially designed multi-tool carriage combines a high-speed routing spindle with a multi-spindle gang drill for the highest productivity and performance. An integrated pressure foot ensures excellent dust extraction.

4 Features Router Spindle Options Choose from manual, quick-release or fully automatic spindles and the power rating to meet your application needs. Helical Rack The helical rack and pinion provides superior high-speed performance delivering greater accuracy, smoother cutting and quieter running. Servo Motors Powerful direct drive servo motors on all axes provide exceptional high-speed performance and consistent, precision cutting. Tool-Length Sensor An automatic tool-length sensor which maintains accurate and consistent cut depths is standard on all Optimus machines. Gang Drill Options The multi-spindle gang drill, available in 5 or 9 tool configurations reduces process time, avoids excessive material handling and streamlines the production process. Steel Gantry Optimus features an 8 steel gantry to ensure rigidity and consistency when cutting high-tolerance components. Dust Extraction Chamber A dedicated dust extraction chamber captures all the dust and debris from both spindle and drill tools. It features a 4 outlet for connection to an optional AXYZ chip collector or to your own system. Built on a heavy-duty steel frame, Optimus offers the perfect platform for high-speed, vibration-free machining. Zoned Vacuum Bed All Optimus machines have high-pressure aluminum zoned vacuum beds to maximize hold-down and reduce waste. Automatic Tool Changer Optimus is available with a 10-position automatic tool changer which provides an easy and convenient method of running jobs requiring multiple routing tools. 5 A2MC Machine Controller The AXYZ A2MC is a next-generation machine control system and is standard on all Optimus machines. With high-capacity, solid-state storage, there is plenty of room for programs which run quickly and smoothly on the dedicated motion processor. The A2MC connects the machine to your local area network for instant and error-free program download and also includes a full remote diagnostic capability for fast support, system updates and application training. Configuration Options ATC - Automatic Tool Changer Optimus is available with a 10-position automatic tool changer which provides an easy and convenient method of running jobs requiring multiple routing tools. Auto Greasing Racks By applying a consistent, pre-measured amount of grease to the rack, the auto-greasing option keeps machine racks in optimum condition and minimizes system downtime due to failed pinions resulting from under-greasing. Vacuum Hold-Down Options The AXYZ SmartConsole brings unprecedented ease-of- use, context sensitive menus and real-time display of machine status in addition to many more time-saving, functional and productivity features. It provides a graphical preview and current status of a running job and allows operators to change program feeds and speeds without pausing the program. The A2MC Enterprise provides a powerful and easy-to-use graphical interface for setting up and monitoring the machine. Using a series of Windows-based apps, it has been designed to achieve optimum performance with your CNC router. The tool-length sensor is used to automatically measure the length of a tool and create an accurate tool-length offset. This time-saving feature ensures precise and consistent cutting depths with all tools. Mink Rotary Claw Pump The Mink rotary claw pump is an ideal high-performance solution for powerful vacuum hold-down. Because it delivers constant suction, it is suitable for use in a variety of applications. Regenerative Blower for Vacuum Hold-Down The regenerative blower option is a low-cost solution for vacuum hold-down and is best used where cut parts are at least 200 in2 in size. Precision Spoil Board The MDF spoil board is mechanically fixed to the T-slot bed and acts as a sacrificial diffuser. It can be skimmed to provide a stable and flat working surface and is easily replaced by the operator.

6 Cutting Options Material Handling Options Quick-Release Spindle 10 HP HSD quick-release spindles are incredibly quiet and robust. With a simple yet powerful pneumatic quick-release feature, they can be operated manually or with our ATC automatic tool changer. Collet Spindle The Elte line of collet spindles are precision balanced for fast, clean cutting and ultra-quiet operation. Available in 5 and 10 HP models, their excellent design provides years of trouble-free use. Multi-Spindle Gang Drill The Multi-Spindle Gang Drill offers drilling capabilities to your CNC router. This reduces material handling and potential damage to components as a result of multiple location transfers. At the same time, it reduces labor costs by streamlining the production process. Drill heads are available in 5- or 9-tool configurations. Conveyor Table for Material Offloading Our product offloading arm and auto offloading table remove cut parts and waste material from the bed to help achieve maximum productivity. Combine this option with the Auto Sheet Handling System for a fully automated solution for your workshop. Scissor Lift A high-capacity scissor lift is integrated with the A2MC controller to automatically index and present the top sheet ready for loading. Dust-Extraction Options Registration Options Software Options Vacuum Arm The vacuum hose steel support arm effectively and conveniently provides a third hand in supporting the dust-extraction vacuum hose. The swiveling vacuum arm allows for snag-free, full-process table operation. Dust Collector The dust collector is an all-steel enclosed system, designed for efficient collection of dust and debris from both the routing and drill tools. Pop-Up Location Pins Pop-up location pins are an innovative feature that are pneumatically activated to allow fast and repeatable placement of cutting materials onto the machine. The Solid Essentials package from Cabinet Vision is our recommended system and offers intuitive design, nesting and programming. This essential tool helps automate your manufacturing process in the most efficient and productive way possible. For existing software users, Optimus is compatible with virtually all standard CAD/CAM systems. Auto Sheet Handling System Our gantry suction system is designed to automatically transfer sheet material from an indexing material lifter and place it directly on the machine for cutting. This system is an ideal option for high-production environments or when occupational health and safety issues arise due to manual handling of heavy sheets.
