1 End of Sale Notice and SVMi-20i Release In order to keep pace with the changing technology Samsung Networks has an on-going policy of product development and improvement. From time-to-time this policy will require us to cease manufacturing or production of certain products or product ranges. Due to the recent release of V4.60 software the following product lines have been superseded. The products and their replacements are listed below. 2 SVMi-20i Release The new SVMi-20i solution brings all the features and functionality of the SMVi-20E but with a more integrated management solution, which equates to time and cost savings for your customers! How? SVMi-20i includes an IP interface, which removes the requirement for IP phones to use an MGI resource. Administration and Management interface is now combined with the Device Manager tool which allows for a single management interface for the OfficeServ PBX and the SVMi-20i. Enhanced port structure no need To install hardware based daughter boards to increase the number of voic /faxmail/aa ports, the SVMi-20i allows for software based licensing port upgrades. This therefore removes the need to send an engineer to site to perform intrusive and time consuming hardware installations. As licences are available per port the cost is reduced if less than a 4 port upgrade is required, New module also provides message waiting indication on the 8SLI ports and the dedicated DTMF receives and sends so that additional system resources are not required. 16SLI supports 16 analogue extensions as before with message waiting indicates and dedicated DTMF receives and senders so that additional system resources are not required. Samsung Networks WILL do the following: For Hardware Continue with the best endeavours to provide telephone support for a maximum of twenty-four months after this announcement. Continue to provide repairs for this product for as long as components can be sourced or no more than 5 years after this announcement. Samsung Networks may provide maintenance spares by repairing or supplying refurbished equipment to satisfy user s needs. Samsung Networks, if necessary and at its sole discretion, reserves the right to provide a functionally equivalent product from its then current product range. For Software Continue with the best endeavours to provide telephone support for a maximum of twelve months after this announcement. Continue to provide support for this product by for no more than 3 years after this announcement, this support will be limited to re-issuing of licences for use on replacement servers or Hardware. Samsung Networks, if necessary and at its sole discretion, reserves the right to provide a functionally equivalent product from its then current product range. Samsung Networks WILL NOT do the following: Supply EOL equipment or software for new systems Supply EOL equipment or software for upgrades or additions to existing systems Guarantee that alternative new products or software will be compatible with legacy systems. For compatibility information please refer to new product release bulletins or check with your Samsung Account Manager. Accept escalations on a product subject to EOL. Provide bug fixes for a product subject to EOL.
