14 Key Changes from V1.0 Addition of Exterior System Requirements Refinement and standardization of definitions and acceptable responses New reported system information, including API and characteristics, color tuning, start-up and configuration party, and security information 14

15 Five Year Warranty Requirement DLC requires a minimum 5 yr warranty for all components of the system addressed by the specification. Why? DLC Member Utilities need reliable control systems and reliable savings Align DLC control system warranty requirements with luminaire warranty requirements It is acceptable if your system has a shorter standard warranty as long as an extended warranty can be purchased to achieve 5 years The QPL will list the standard warranty and stipulate if an additional warranty must be purchased to meet the specification 15

16 Commercial Availability and Verification All systems must be fully commercially available, able to be purchased, with complete, final documentation and literature readily available on the manufacturer s website before they can be listed. DLC requires that a qualified system has been installed and operated successfully in at least one actual field installation. DLC will verify this through a case study and/or a customer reference. See the Application Form for more information. 16

17 System Overview Presentation DLC requires a system overview to be presented via webinar Purpose: Help DLC better understand system being qualified 1-2 hours Scheduled after Application Form received 17
