2 A Total Computer Power Protection and Management Solution Detailed Historical Log PowerOn logs every operating action and abnormal power condition into its memory, allowing you to better understand your power environment and confirm that the UPS is providing valuable protection for your equipment and data. Pure Sinewave Output Fenton's state-of the-art IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) inverter offers premium performance and efficiency. In conjunction with PowerOn's outstanding control circuitry, the inverter provides clean and pure sinewave power with less than 3% total harmonic distortion under linear load and less than 5% under computer load. Intelligent Battery Monitoring PowerOn's batteries are tested automatically every two weeks by default or over any other period that is configured using the UPSilon2000 software. Once a weak battery is detected, an indicator lights up to remind the user to replace the batteries. Automatic Static Bypass Switch PowerOn utilizes a fast and robust hybrid static bypass switch to reliably handle three times rated current. The switch is automatically activated by overload, inverter voltage out of proper range, and high temperature conditions. It can also be manually activated. When conditions return to normal, the bypass switch is automatically deactivated. Convenient System Power Control Unlike most UPSs which require the load to be turned off when the UPS is initially turned on the user, PowerOn's special constant current circuitry allows the UPS to be turned on while the load is also in the "ON" position. This ability to simultaneously power up the connected equipment by turning on the UPS is a great convenience for applications where the UPS is turned on and off on a daily or frequent basis.

SmartLoadTM Overload and Short Circuit Protection In both utility and inverter modes, PowerOn's intelligent SmartLoadTM circuitry provides advanced protection against damage caused by overloads and short circuits. Overloads are automatically handled according to a precise bypass shutdown procedure that uses a preprogrammed curve to track load against time; while short circuits cause PowerOn to shut itself off instantly to ensure safety and avoid the nuisance and disruption of tripping the house breaker. High Compatibility with Generators PowerOn was specially designed to provide high compatibility with most types of generators, which provide inherently unstable output frequencies. This important compatibility is achieved through the use of dual input and output frequency sensors and our sophisticated PLL circuitry. Long Runtime Applications For customers who require longer battery backup runtimes than the standard PowerOn can provide, Fenton offers two different solutions. Solution #1: Customers can purchase a Fenton external battery bank. These battery banks, which can be connected to a standard PowerOn UPS, feature sealed lead-calcium batteries in an attractive steel case, with convenient built-in charger, circuit breaker, and ventilation fan. 4 Intelligent Power Management Power failures can occur at any time, including when they are least expected and most unwelcome. To protect your data and operations at all times, including during unattended use, PowerOn is available with UPSilon2000 intelligent monitoring and automatic shutdown software. During a power interruption, UPSilon2000 broadcasts a warning message to all workstations on the network, urging users to finish up all current tasks. When the administrator is unavailable to shut down the systern during an extended power interruption, UPSilon2000 automatically commences a graceful shutdown of the operating system after a user-configured time countdown or when the UPS batteries become low on power. UPSilon2000 can notify an off-site administrator of the power situation by paging him or her through a modem. Other UPSilon2000 power management functions include scheduling automatic System boot up and shutdown, monitoring the condition of the UPS battery, and logging and analyzing abnormal utility power conditions. Used in conjunction with an SNMP adapter, PowerOn TM and UPSilon2000 are powerful tools for the most sophisticated network administrator.
