Sftware Installatin After driver installatin, please setup the crrect Data Rate by MHz frequency r by autmatic frequency detectin fr prper peratin Windws 7, Vista, XP, & 2000 installatin 1. Pwer ff the system. Insert PCI Card int an available PCI slt. 2. Pwer up the system, and insert the Driver CD int yur CD-ROM/DVD. 3. Windws will display the Fund New Hardware Wizard, Click Next. 4. Select Search fr a suitable driver fr my device (Recmmended) and Click Next, and make sure the Driver CD in yur CD-ROM/DVD. 5. Under Specify a lcatin insure that is nly checked, and click Next. 6. Type in X:\ (If yur CD-ROM/DVD is X:\) and click Brwse. 7. Pints specify a lcatin, example X:\PCI IO Hst \OXmPCI IO104-01C

3 8. When the wizard indicates that it fund a driver fr the device click Next. Then click Finish. 9. Repeat Step 3 Step 8 when the wizard asks that. 10. When driver install Finish, please remve the Driver CD and click Yes t restart yur cmputer Installatin Verifying & Frequency Setting under Windws 7, Vista, XP, & 2000 Fllw the instructins in this sectin t verify that the cntrller was installed crrectly. 1. Right click n My Cmputer icn, select Manage, then click Device Manager. 2. Duble click Multi-prt serial adapters, If there is n yellw! r? in frnt f Serial Bus Adapter, the driver has started crrectly. 3. Duble click anther Prts (COM & LPT), If there is n yellw! r? in frnt f Enhanced Cmmunicatin Prt (COMx) Enhanced Cmmunicatin Prt (COMx+1) Enhanced Cmmunicatin Prt (COMx+2) Enhanced Cmmunicatin Prt (COMx+3) The driver has started crrectly. 4. Right click the Enhanced Cmmunicatin Prt (COMx) and select Prperties frm the cntext menu. 5. Select the tab labeled Data rate". Select "Crystal Frequency " at MHz r Select "Detect Crystal Frequency" fr autmatically detect the Input Clck. 6. Select Use default baud rate n Baud rate cnfiguratin ptins. 7. Repeat Step 4-6 fr the setting f COMx+1, COMx+2 and COMx IO104-01C

4 3.3. Windws 9X / ME installatin 1. Pwer ff the system. Insert PCI Card int an available PCI slt. Pwer up the system. 2. Fund New Hardware Wizard will be displayed, select Specify the lcatin f the driver (Advanced), and insert the Driver CD in yur CD-ROM/DVD drive, then click Next. 3. Make sure Search fr the best driver fr yur device (Recmmended), and Specify a lcatin are bth selected, uncheck the ther bxes, and type in X:\ (If yur CD-ROM/DVD is X:\) and click Brwse. 4. Pints specify a lcatin, example X:\PCI IO Hst \OXmPCI \Win_Driver_v \Windws_95-98-ME. Click OK, and click Next. 5. When the wizard indicates that it fund a driver fr the device, click Next. Then click Finish t exit the wizard. 6. Repeat Step 2 Step 5 when the wizard asks. 7. Duble click anther Prts, If there is n yellw! r? in frnt f PCI Cmmunicatins Prt (COMx) PCI Cmmunicatins Prt (COMx+1) PCI Cmmunicatins Prt (COMx+2) PCI Cmmunicatins Prt (COMx+3) The driver has started crrectly. 4. T view infrmatin abut the devices attached t the cntrller, right click the PCI Cmmunicatins Prt (COMx) and select Prperties frm the cntext menu. 5. Select the tab labeled Data Rate". Select "Crystal Frequency" at MHz r Select "Autmatic Crystal Detectin" fr autmatically detect the Input Clck. 6. Select User Defined Override Speed n Baud Rate Generatin ptins. 7. Drag the speed bar t the crrect baud rate. 8. Repeat Step 4-7 fr the setting f COMx+1, COMx+2 and COMx IO104-01C

6 3.5. Windws NT4.0 installatin 1. Pwer up the system, and insert the Driver CD int yur CD-ROM/DVD. 2. Brwse the Driver CD, and pints specify a lcatin, example X:\PCI IO Hst \OXmPCI \Win_Driver_v \Windws_NT Duble click n the Install_Serial icn. 4. The wizard will display "Windws NT4 Device Installer", and click "Next. 5. The wizard will display "OxSer.inf", select "Install", and click "Next", Yes. 6. When the wizard display The peratin was cmpleted successfully, and the driver has been started, Click Exit Installatin Verifying under Windws NT4.0 Fllw the instructins in this sectin t verify that the cntrller was installed crrectly. 1.
