3 General Information Introduction Ultra-light PLCC SMT Down Light is designed with high quality PLCC Emitters and integrated with thermal, electrical, mechanical and optical aspect from Edison Opto. The design is to simplify the structure with a small amount of components to achieve the target. Besides, with the high quality lighting solution systems, the product provides a widely use of space from residential to commercial illuminated applications. 1

Connect the PLCC SMT Down Light to the DC driver shown as step 1 2. Plug the driver to AC outlet shown as step 2 Caution Never plug the driver to AC outlet before the PLCC SMT Down Light is properly connected, otherwise it may damage the LEDs permanently. 5

9 Product Safety WARNING Risk of Electrical Shock, Injury, and damage Disconnect or turn off power before servicing or installing luminaire. Do not hot swap! LED heat sink module must not to be disconnected with line power on failure to do so may damage product. Installation of LED product (with driver) needs to be made with regard to all applicable electrical and safety standards. Only qualified personnel should be allowed to perform installations. Verify that supply voltage is correct by comparing it with the luminaire and driver. All wiring connections should be capped with UL approved recognized wire connectors. The luminaire shall, under no circumstance, be covered with thermal insulation matting or similar material, and pay attention not to exceed the maximum operation temperature of LED module. If the IP rating of the fixture should be higher than IP20, the design of the housing should be according to the IP standards in the application. The LED module itself and all its components must not be mechanically stressed. Assembly must not damage or destroy conducting paths on the circuit board. Be aware of, the luminaire is intended for indoor application and keep away from any chemicals CAUTION Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while it is on. Wear safety glasses and gloves during installation and servicing. Allow lamp/fixture to cool before handling. Do NOT touch enclosure or light source. Follow all manufacturers warnings, recommendations and restrictions for : driver type, burning position, mounting location/methods, and replacement. 7
