3 1. SPECIICATIONS Display: LCD Dual display. Measurement range: Humidity: 1% to 99% RH Temperature: -20 C to +60 C / -4 to +140 Resolution: 0.1% RH, 0.1 C, 0.1 Accuracy (after calibration): Humidity: 3%RH (at 25 C, 30 to 99% RH). 5%RH (at 25 C, 1 to 30% RH). Press the H Hold button to freeze or unfreeze the display readings. In H mode, press the DEW / WET / %RH button to select the desired display readings. b). Press and hold down the H Hold button for 2 seconds to exchange the main display and secondary display reading. This change will be retained after the instrument is turned off. 2

6 3. MEASURING PROCEDURE 3-1 Humidity measurement: Press the button to turn the meter on. The display will show the humidity reading value (% RH) directly on the main display. When measuring humidity value in different environments, please wait a few minutes in order to obtain a stable humidity reading. 3-2 Temperature measurement: Press the button to turn the meter on. Press and hold down C / button for 5 seconds to switch between Celsius ( C) and ahrenheit () units. The display will show the temperature reading ( C or ) directly on the secondary display. When the meter is turned on, it is set to the temperature units that were selected when the meter was last turned off. C 4

7 3-3 Dew-point temperature measurement: Press the button to turn the meter on. Press the DEW / WET / %RH button to display dew point temperature reading on the main display. DEW 3-4 Wet bulb temperature measurement: Press the button to turn the meter on. Press DEW / WET / %RH button to display wet bulb temperature reading on the main display. WET 3-5 Maximum and minimum measurement recording: Press the MX/MN button to enter recording mode and start the elapsed timer. The auto power-off function is automatically disabled on entering this mode. If auto power-off was enabled prior to entering MX/MN mode, it will be re-enabled again upon leaving this mode. 5

12 In this mode, the dew-point or wet bulb temperature can be obtained by pressing the DEW/WET/%RH button. Press the MX/MN button and hold it down for 2 seconds to exit MX/MN mode. Note: 1. MAX/MIN Hold with time-stamp: The timer function in MAX/MIN mode is an elapsed time timer similar to the action of a Stop-watch and the maximum elapsed time period is 8 hours. When the timer function is activated, MAX/MIN events for temperature or humidity which occur during the period will be recorded together with their elapsed time. 2. To establish at what actual time the event occurred, the clock time when the timer was started must be added to the elapsed time shown on the display. or example if the timer is started at 9:00 AM and the MAX temperature was recorded after 10 minutes (00:10:00 shown on the LCD display), then the actual time of the event was 09:10 AM. 3. If the MAX/MIN reading does not appear to be updating, this is because the humidity and temperature have not exceeded the recorded maximum or minimum humidity or temperature readings. 4. If the MAX/MIN reading is updating, this means the measured humidity and temperature exceeds the recorded the maximum or minimum humidity or temperature data. 10

13 3-6 Manual logging function Memorize / Read : To clear the memorize data Press and hold down "MEM" button, then press to turn on the meter. button To memorize the reading Press "MEM" button each time, one set of reading to will be stored to the memory. ULL To recall the memorize reading Press "READ" button to enter READ mode. Press " READ" button to select the desired memory data for display. Press DEW / WET / %RH button to display either display DEW point or DEW point or WET bulb temperature reading on the main display. 11

14 Press READ button and hold down for 2 seconds to exit READ mode. R 3-7 Setting auto power -off Mode: The meter will automatically turn off if no button is pressed in 30 minutes. The auto power-off function is enabled each time the meter is turned on and is automatically disabled when in MX/MN mode. Different auto power-off delays can be selected from the following list: 001: Auto power-off function is disabled. 002: Auto power-off in 1 minute. 003: Auto power-off in 3 minutes. 004: Auto power-off in 5 minutes. 005: Auto power-off in 10 minutes. 006: Auto power-off in 15 minutes. 007: Auto power-off in 30 minutes. 008: Auto power-off in 59 minutes. Press the button to turn off the meter. Press and hold down the HOLD button, then press the button to turn on the meter and then release the HOLD button. The display will show

15 Press HOLD button repeatedly to display the desired auto power-off time. Press MAX/MIN button to select. 4. MAINTENANCE 4-1 Cleaning: Periodically clean the case with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasives or solvents. Clean and dry as required. 4-2 Battery replacement: The LCD display will show the BT symbol when the battery power is not sufficient for accurate testing. Replace with a new battery, Qty one 9V type 006P, IEC 622 or NEDA CALIBRATION This instrument should be calibrated once per year to ensure its continued accuracy.
